About this game
In Beyond the Plastic Wall, you play as Hal, a young scavenger who finds a sealed box of mysterious letters written by a woman he doesn’t know. This woman lives deep within the walls of the last city at the end of the world, so he decides to set off on a journey looking for her.
His search will take him through the many varied horizons of this strange world, from its lonely, abandoned outskirts to the narrow alleys and bustling skyscrapers of a city filled with grim secrets. And like any good scavenger, Hal can't resist trying to fix the wrecked machines he encounters along the way.
A Broken World
Embark on a gorgeous 2.5D view pixel art adventure across rocky shores, vast, forgotten machines of a bygone age and lush, windy plains built by blending hand-crafted art with innovative and cutting edge rendering techniques.
During your journey, you will come across many characters that this crumbling world have pulled apart: from a voyage with a proud but lonely boat captain to a confrontation with an angry fishmonger and unsettling brushes with the strange outcasts that hide in the shadows of the walled city. Each of their tales brings you a little closer to the letters’ mysterious author and nearer to understanding the true reasons for your own voyage.

To a scavenger like Hal, machines have as much to tell him as humans do.
On your way towards The City you’ll encounter many broken devices impeding your progress that need repairing. Manipulate a varied range of mechanical puzzles to move forward and uncover the secrets of this continent.
A rusty boat engine, a coded telephone machine, a mysterious archive computer: every puzzle is a unique challenge that works on a shared logic that you get to know as you unlock their satisfying and complex machinery.

Hello everyone ! There are still 3 days left before the application deadline for BTPW closed playtest! Please feel free to participate by filling out this form (it will take 5 minutes): Participate to Beyond the Plastic Wall playtest! (July 10th-22nd) You will have to agree to an NDA, meaning you can’t discuss or stream the game publicly before its release. If you are selected, the playtest begins on the 10th, and from then on, you’ll have as much time as you want to play the game again. The closed playtest ends on the 22nd at 11:59 a.m., and there’s a form you’ll need to fill out so we can collect your feedback! Playtest applications for Beyond the Plastic Wall are now open!
Hello everyone! As Beyond the Plastic Wall reaches a new stage of development, we're excited to announce our very first playtest! Applications are open from now until July 9th at 11:59pm. To participate, you'll need to complete an application form and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This means that you won't be allowed to share or publicly discuss any part of the game before its official release. If you're selected, you'll receive a Steam key to access the playtest. The playtest will take place from the evening of July 10th to 11:59pm on July 22nd. We recommend playing for at least 40 minutes so you can experience enough of the game and provide meaningful feedback. After your play session, we'll ask you to complete a feedback form to help us better understand your experience and improve the game. Interested?
