The Fairy Queen needs your help!

Become her Guardian Spirit and raise a little hero from an egg to battle the Dark Lord and bring peace back to the land.

This is an Elf Egg...

You are a guardian spirit created by the Fairy Queen to look after the heroes of this realm. You are to guide them. Raise them. Help them face the dark terrors of the world.



Part digital pet game, part RPG adventure, and part casual Idle game, Yolk Heroes is a charming blend of many different elements. Quest and grind to protect the citizens of the realm, or simply enjoy your digital friend!

Raise your hero!

From egg to adventure take your elf and help them become the greatest hero they can be. Clean, train, educate, and equip your little elf. Taking them through several phases of development.

• Egg - Protect your Elf Egg from the dangers of the world! Keep it at the perfect temperature to help the strongest possible hero hatch.

• Infant - The helpless hero is young and cute, but can't do much! Learn the basics while getting to know your drooling elf.
  
• Do errands, practice skills, play games, and develop your elf into the hero they're destined to be!
  
• Hero - Once your elf reaches maturity, take them out on quests and adventures for treasure and glory!

Save this realm...

The Dark Lord has been spreading evil across the land. The Fairy Queen has tasked you with stopping his reign of terror!

• Challenging quests await around every bend, and a myriad of unique enemies seek to assault your hero from all sides.
  
• Use skills, items, training, and a little bit of luck to keep your hero safe!
  
• Your hero will give you regular updates during their quests, so you can get on with your life without worrying about your Elf getting into (too much) trouble without you.
  
• Equip your hero with various weapons and armor to even the odds and ensure they have the best chances possible against the forces of darkness.
  
• Actions take energy! Be sure to balance work with rest, otherwise your Elf will find themselves worn out.

A companion for you...

Your little hero doesn't require constant attention. The opposite really!



Raising, feeding, cleaning and even questing with your little elf is all done at a fairly leisurely real-time pace. Yolk Heroes is a cozy experience, one which you only need to check in on a few times a day to keep your hero healthy and happy.

Don't be fooled into thinking that means there's no danger, though! Even the mightiest heroes are sometimes defeated, but if this fate befalls your Elf, worry not. Your little hero should always be able to be nursed back to health!

A virtual pet adventure...

Yolk Heroes is the virtual pet game you've always wanted! RPG Mechanics, minigames, quests...who doesn't love quests? Your elf will explore, grow stronger, and embark on an adventure to deliver the world from evil! OR! You can just relax and enjoy your little friend.

We've have been working tirelessly on this (ostensibly) adorable hero raising game. Through Yolk Heroes, we want you to take your Elf on the adventure of their lives...and perhaps make some fond memories for yourself along the way.

  Hey everyone! Our new game's demo just launched...

  Hello fellow Yolkers,On the forums people have probably seen me say things like 'we're working on another project so that's why this is all slow' or 'i'll try and get to that if i get a break from the other project'. Don't fear, Yolk Heroes IS still being developed on, just VERY slowly. VERY slowly.However, the project that keeps taking time away from my Yolk Heroes baby is finally playable!For the Steam Next Fest we have Burn-9! Which is probably as hard a left turn tone wise from Yolk Heroes as we could possibly go, but it's been what we've been working on.Feel free to not be interested, I mean, I can't say I feel the overlap is all that strong between the two projects. Other than this one is also sort of a 'management' game. You play as the tech in the chair trying to keep a soldier on a suicide mission alive!You can go play the demo now if you want, wishlist it, or badmouth it.The choice is yours!Wish Yolk Heroes luck as well, the designer is on summer break from school and trying to finish up some stuff for Poke Place.   Nominated for an award?! AAAAH!Heeeeyo fellow egg walkers!Not a big thing, but it was pointed out to me that Stayathomedev has gone and put up a bunch of nominations for Godot Game of the Year awards!   WE DID IT! We finally fixed that one stupid bug!!! (And some other stuff)

  Greetings fellow mortals! The important stuff up front.Yolk Heroes has some bug fixes up, it's been a bit, but I think we FINALLY fixed a few of the major bugs that have been plaguing the game. Not, as in major bugs that ruin anyone's day, but the really annoying ones.Among other things, we have hopefully fixed the two most reported bugs. Hopefully the character portraits are fixed and hopefully the stats that you are training is always shown correctly!You'll all let me know if we got it wrong!Patch Notes:-Fixed menu lock up on growing up animation-Fixed menu's from locking out button inputs after level up animations-Save slot month translation fix-Consistent continue text arrow graphic for each language-Save file icons instead of labels-Save slot font sync on chapter name-Fixed inventory empty text not being translated- Fixed translations not loading for the fairy guidebook- Added a function to change roman numerals to int - Made the font label load the correct font for the PlustStatFX - Fixed splash screen not loading fonts in other languages-Portrait fixes-Stat training displaying the wrong message fixed-Various translation fixesFURTHER DETAILS on the future of Yolk Heroes and other cool things going on with 14 Hours Productions:What?   SUMMER SALE! BUNDLE SALE! G-FUSION GAME FESTIVAL! AAAAH! TOO MCUH STUFF!

  Hello fellow humans and human like things!It's been about a year since Yolk Heroes came out and honestly the support and the love for the game has been pretty incredible. I mean, people have played it, are still playing it, and many of them don't even hate it.We still have more we're trying to ad to the game, but as i said last time, no time table specifics on that, it's going well, but also the team working on it is doing it part time while working full time jobs!Also, there are other games kinda like Yolk Heroes out there. At least cool pet raising games. You can check out one of those, NANOMON! (Or is it Na-no-mon?) I think it's a pretty cute and you can check it out. We're doing a bundle with them cause you know, pet raising sims need to stick together? Also, it's fun and a pretty good companion game. It sits in the corner of the screen and it's got some pretty spiffy pixel art.Also it's the summer sale! General summer sale! Wooo! Everyone spend money or something? Eh, if you see anything good, grab it, and may that game bring you joy. Yolk heroes is on a 30% discount for the summer sale and that technically combines with the discount from the bundle, so overall, it's like... I think together the two games are more than Yolk Heroes would be alone, but you get yolk heroes at less... than you normally would......? *Squints.* Yes...
