Embark on a cozy culinary adventure where you farm, cook, and battle to save the world as the Caretakers. With Timberline Studio guiding your journey in 2026, Beastro offers a unique mix of casual gameplay and strategic challenges.

About this game

Palo Pori is a beautiful and peaceful village of artisans and tastemakers. Beyond the village’s protective wall, darkness has begun to stir. Ravenous monsters have claimed the land and threaten to sink their teeth into this final morsel of hope and happiness.

Play as Panko, a young, talented chef, helping to run the local eatery. When Panko’s teacher goes missing, a mysterious visitor arrives with warnings of the dangers beyond the wall. It's up to Panko to step up and take over the restaurant and tend to the ingredients and patrons. But that’s not all, Panko also finds himself serving the Caretakers, brave adventurers, sent to save the world. In this adventure, preserving peace starts in the kitchen!

Features: what's on the menu

From Town to TableIn Palo Pori, fresh is best! Gather ingredients and resources, care for animals and grow your own fruit and veg to build up your very own cozy town to table restaurant. Forage for wild herbs and unlock new seeds to grow to expand your meals.

Serving Your CommunityChop, flip, and sizzle your way through mouthwatering mini-games as you whip up delightful dishes for the townsfolk. Good food is always better with company, so work hard to improve your cooking and experiment with ingredients, to keep your patrons happy.

Tailor your restaurant to the tastes of your community, develop new meals, progress your know how through a skill tree and adjust the decor to increase your restaurant’s appeal.

Feed the CaretakersYou’ll also need to feed the hungry Caretakers; these brave denizens of the land will venture out into the wilds to fight the ravenous monsters threatening the peace of Palo Pori. Each Caretaker hails from their own flavour region, affecting their own tastes and preferences: some like it bitter, some like it sweet and some are just looking to fulfil their craving of the day! Craft thoughtful meals and balance the flavour profiles to boost their spirits, sharpen their skills, and unlock new abilities. Because let’s face it… Who can save the world on an empty stomach?

Delicious Deck BuildingNow it’s time to put your meal to the test! This is where taste meets tactics. The dishes you serve will build your Caretaker’s deck – each ingredient unlocking a card. And once they’ve eaten, they’ll venture into the wilds to fight the monsters. Upon their return, they’ll recount their journey and play out their battles through a charming puppet theatre sequence. They might even bring you back some MONSTEROUS ingredients from their ventures. Fight the monsters in turn-based deck building combat, inspired by traditional trick-taking card games. Outplay the monsters, by matching their flavour magic or neutralising it with a balancing card. Add an enhancing card to power up your moves! Your magic can turn the tables!

Utilize the unique effects of your ingredients to put your enemies to sleep, blow away their cards, and more, but watch out, you’re not the only one with special abilities. If you’re not paying attention, you might get burned.

In this food-based fantasy adventure, it’s time to give peas a chance! - Are you ready to get cooking?

Unlock the magic in food.

    Patch Notes 1.0.6

Hey all! Here's a small patch to help fix up some issues that have been found over these first few weeks. Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and reports! Design Adjusted the quest kick-off flow for the Watoucan to make sure you can't end up in state where you don't have the quest. Removed the ability to leave the venture in the Salty Map right before the camp, which could cause issues with quest states. Added a safeguard at the salty camp to get saves back on track if the player had previously used the caw bell between the miniboss and camp. Blocked the ability to return to Palo Pori from the final map after the first node. Adjusted the "socializing with the spirits" achievement to be awarded in a more expected manner. Added the keyword descriptions to the effects. The Merchant now sells stackshrooms. Terranamis are now more prevalent. Bugs Fixed the semi-transparent -2 that would sometimes appear in combat. Fixed summoned monsters having an incorrect material applied to them. Adjusted UI for PS Controller players so the left thumbstick is not huge at fishing. Summons should no longer randomly appear dead when they first arrive. Fixed "heal self" not working when paired with a weakened enhancer. Rice balls should no longer "glue" to one another when playing the sauté minigame. Players should no longer be able to end up in a potentially soft-locked state during the enhancing tutorial. Removed the incorrect damage preview on the Sweet Boss when its shield is active. "High Winds" now works correctly against the Map 4 Boss. Added a failsafe to ensure chapter quests start if they failed previously. Misc Monsters make sounds upon defeat. Additional adjustments to cloth handling to help with some performance issues. Reduced the default settings for some devices that were showing increased temperatures. Happy cooking! - The Timberline Team

    Known issues and workarounds!

Hello, Chefs! What an amazing few days it's been since launch. We've been enamoured with your fanart, kind words, and looking at your feedback very closely! There are a few things we've seen that we want to advise you all on. First up...POST-GAMEWe've been thrilled to see how many of you want to keep playing after defeating the final boss. The good news is: you can! The way this currently works isn't very obvious, though, and we're looking at ways to improve that. After defeating the final boss, your save file will currently place you on the night before the final battle. If you lose that fight, you'll be able to continue playing for as long as you'd like before challenging the boss again. We're exploring ways to make this clearer and more visible in-game, but in the meantime, we hope this helps those of you who want to keep the pots boilin'! Crashes on Intel ChipsSome Intel CPUs can experience stability issues with Unreal Engine 5. While we're continuing to investigate reports, there are existing community workarounds that players have used across a number of UE5 titles. If you search online or browse the Steam forums, you'll find a variety of potential solutions. However, because these workarounds can sometimes produce unpredictable results, we're unable to officially recommend any specific method. If you decide to try one, please make sure it's from a trusted source and has been verified by other players.Missing shaders error We see people who have GPUs below or recommended spec finding that they cannot launch the game due to having missing shaders. Unfortunately, this is a compatibility issue with integrated graphics cards. At this time, our min spec requires a video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1630, 4 GB or AMD Radeon R9 390, 8 GB. Some older cards can work, but we can not guarantee the game will work below this level of video card. If you aren't sure:Open Start on Windows 11.Search for Device Manager and open Look at the entries under Display adapters.Confirm the num...
