    1.6 - Fan-requested features, PowerWash Simulator 2 Bundle & Gnome crossover!

PowerWash Simulator 2 Gnome DLCBefore we dive into the update itself, yes you read that right - we've teamed up with the brilliant people at FuturLab to bring you the PowerWash Simulator 2 Gnome to Trash Goblin as a fully-functioning trinket, entirely for free! Go get it here. Watch out, they get everywhere!PowerWash Simulator 2 BundleAnd we've gone and set up a little bundle with them too, so if you own one of the games, you'll get a discount for the other. Go tell your friends! Get it here!Plans For The Future - 1.7!We're going to get cracking with update 1.7! We believe 1.6 really helps Trash Goblin turn a corner in terms of quality of life features and nasty bugs getting squashed, but there are still larger items on our (and your) list that we'd like to address, plus of course new features to add because there's a whole fantasy world out there to take inspiration from! Will 1.7 come out this year? We hope so, but we won't announce a date until we're certain! Plans For The Future - More DLCWe've also got another paid DLC planned, and as soon as we can share something concrete about it we will. We saw the response to The Artist Of Brimhaven, and are going to make this new DLC something that can be enjoyed by all players, no matter how far they are into their playtime with Trash Goblin! It will also be cute, and have a real role helping in the moment to moment play of the game as it stands right now. Will this come out in 2026? Who can say... other than we always try to release a chunky free game update whenever we put out a paid bit of content, so 1.7 and the DLC will likely arrive at the same time. Plans For The Future - 2027Looking into next year - oh my god 2027 is like right there - we're expecting updates to arrive in a slightly new cadence. In "Trash Goblin Year 3" we want to take the pressure off the team a little bit. We are now working on the followup (omg you can peek at it here), but we really want to keep updating and improving Trash Goblin in exciting...

    Happy Birthday Trash Goblin!

We can't believe the incredible journey we've been on, so I thought we could share some fun insights into the life so far of our little goblin game! The crew at Mighty Merch are just the cutest, to see the full song-n-dance, head here.HOW THINGS CHANGEThought it'd be fun to show you some comparison shots from one of the earliest builds we can find, almost exactly 3 years old! This view didn't change all that much in terms of camera position, even after all this time!Wow, back when we split the customer bench into "keep" and "sell" sections. The customer view might be the view with the most significant changes - look at that crowded street!Player customisation makes all the difference in the most recent version. Oh, and actual textures on the stairs.Um... I guess the old build needed a bit of a lighting pass. But also we moved the camera in a lot too!WHAT'S THE VIBE?Some recent nice stats about the game's performance: 👍 We've had 1,685 reviews on Steam and are Very Positive rated! 🌎 There are 301,765 goblins out there playing! 🎁 We've launched 5 giant updates since 1.0 ⌛ One Steam player left a positive review after 4hrs, and then piled 404hrs more into the game! Incredible... are they our number one fan?The game has been launched on: - Steam - Epic Game Store - Switch - Xbox Series S/X - PlayStation 5 ...and more soon! Which is your preferred method?Plus we fully localised it into: - English - Polish - French - Italian - German - Spanish - Brazilian Portuguese - Russian - Simplified Chinese - Traditional Chinese - Korean - Thai - Japanese - Hungarian

    Maker's Fortune Patch #1

We've been blown away by the reception of 1.5, Hugh and the DLC - thank you all so much for your support! As we plan the 1.6 update, we knew we wanted to nip a bunch of nasty bugs in the bud, plus improve some elements that were bothering us ahead of the bigger quality of life update we want to deliver down the line. The two headliners are: 1) a fix that prevented progression during the DLC 2) no more lighting woes/dark scenes! But we've fixed and improved tons of elements of the game across the entire experience so read on for the full details!PROGRESSIONWe've fixed an issue where the progression of certain Artist of Brimhaven quests were becoming blocked if the Success for Donoval looping quest had not been completed before the DLC was started. We believe we have fixed an issue in the Artist of Brimhaven content that was causing active quests (such as Jaq's, Esme's and Aunty's) to be removed from the Quest Tracker when multiple quests were summoned at the same time. We removed a time skip call at the end of these non standard quests and replaced it with a quest tracker update call. This should prevent these quests from immediately starting and ending at the same time.Prevented a potential softlock in the tutorial if you go to bed before selling the bottle to Nomia.Fix for Expansion Mode button appearing late if you quit the game mid-tutorial. LOCALISATION & WRITINGThere's been a small handful of fixes to the Korean, Chinese and Hungarian localisations. The Hungarian credits now roll properly. The opening story beat for the Artist of Brimhaven DLC is now fully visible in Thai.Aimon now specifically asks for the Fishy Trophy to be both Silver and Upcycled in the German and Chinese localisation. Some of Sam and Oli's dialogue had become muddled so we've corrected that. We've nuked a few more typos which were particularly embarrassing to our Producer as she was the one that introduced them!TRINKETSThe Clawed Gem and Silver Ring now have the correct names in Hungarian.We...

    1.5 "Maker's Fortune" & DLC Out Now!

It's with great delight that we present to you the fifth major free update to Trash Goblin since 1.0! We've been building to this release for a long time so let's dive into all the lovely details!WHAT'S NEW?The biggest feature is of course the brand new tool, Hugh! If you've not been keeping up with al the news, here's how it works! You get access to Hugh around the point where you get tool upgrades more generally, and with Hugh you can remove the material (think colour, but with some lighting properties etc) from any trinket's subsection, and then apply it to any other! Removing the material from a section of a trinket leaves it as 'plain wood', which is a nice look all by itself... but we can't wait to see what outlandish creations you come up with using the 30 materials in the game!As you remove materials, they're saved in your material jars so you can hoard them, then pick and choose at your leisure! The application of materials is achieved using the same tool, and can also be applied to any trinket in an upcycled creation, as well as their subsections. The application/removal process takes 1 timeslot, just like any other trinket minigame, and "Stranger" customers will often ask for a twist on the usual! Like this fussy person here:That said, in the base game, none of the named characters will specify a material-swapped trinket - this would've required a huge rewrite, plus localisation. Doesn't mean you can't make unique trinkets for them, it's just that you have to be mindful of how specific their requests are beforehand! On the topic of customers, look out for this one - they'll unlock Hugh for you: And we don't stop there - for some of you this next bit is even bigger news... you'll finally be able to see what Baby Grandmas look like!Of course it's a free update and we wouldn't release one without a themed cosmetic set for you to enjoy - the Maker's Fortune set is all about splotches and splashes of colour! Oh, and jars, naturally 🫙Also we've heard your cries, a...

HUGE news update - 1.5 trailer, DLC trailer, 100k copies sold & more!

It's a huge week next week, as we release 3 updates to Trash Goblin - a free tool for the base game, a paid DLC story expansion, and a cosmetic pack! Of course we'll update you with all the details when we launch next week - May 7th for both the 1.5 update and the DLCs! - but for now take a look at the trailers, and read on for a little bit more! FREE 1.5 UPDATE "MAKER'S FORTUNE"The biggest thing about Maker's Fortune is that we've built in a brand new tool that expands the game from the first few hours all the way through to however long you want to play! "Recolouring" was something we had on our list of ideas from the very first day of development back in 2022(!?) so it feels great to be able to bring it to life for you now.PAID DLC EXPANSION "THE ARTIST OF BRIMHAVEN"The Artist of Brimhaven DLC is a little bit of an experiment, and also a lovely 'what happened next...' piece of story content. We're just not sure what sort of DLC would delight the most players, so we started by thinking about the most popular characters and giving them more time to shine, plus offering a gameplay experience that takes what you know about Trash goblin and expands on it in an unexpected way - by letting you visit a District and then rebuild it!We can't wait to see what you think when this releases on May 7th, and we'll be all ears when it comes to planning whatever DLC 2 might end up being.MORE NEWSNow then. We hit a bit of a milestone this week too!Yup, quite the big number! We can't believe how far our little goblin game has gone, and really this is just the beginning! The whole team here can't thank you enough for all the love and support you've shown us, and we can't wait to see what the future holds 🥰🥰🥰WHAT ABOUT THE COSMETIC DLC?I'll just leave this here... That's it for now, watch out for next week as we detail everything in all of these huge updates, all happening on Thursday May 7th!
