About this game

Another Chance is an isometric, story driven experience which pits you in the midst of an alien apocalypse. Split apart from your wife, your only objective is reuniting with her...or is it?



The game takes place in an urban Japanese environment. Following Taiki, you'll explore his surroundings and talk with other residents of the city, all the while trying to make your way to his wife, Naomi.

Time will play a crucial role in the unfolding story, and you'll have to carefully prioritize how you interact with the world. Focusing on the main goal might be a sound idea, but exploration could yield satisfactory results as well...

While navigating through the city, the alien invaders will make themselves noticed. Avoid them at all costs, as they will not hesitate pursuing you to your death.

• Beautiful scenery contrasted by the aftermath of an alien invasion.
  
• Rich story conveyed through Taiki's inner monologues or dialogues with Taiki's fellow residents.
  
• Time is a resource - every significant interaction with the world will advance the clock, which will shape the story later on.
  
• Some humour sprinkled in as well. Even amidst an alien invasion, not everything has to be bleak.
  
• Did we mention time travel? We're not sure...we're not even sure how often we wrote this already...

  Widescreen Support arrives!

  We've finally added widescreen support for (probably) all possible aspect ratios! Let us know if you still have issues with yours! Other minor bug fixes (dev features were previously still enabled, we have no idea how we let that slip through) P.S.: Some content based on images (like level transitions or the main menu) will still have black borders, due to their static nature. The in-game experience will fully support widescreen, though!

  Patch 1.0.1

  Patch 1.0.1 Fixed a bug where the option to take your own life at the end of the game would not trigger correctly and freeze the game. Fixed a bug when sometimes, the checkpoint after dying 3 times would be incorrectly set to a different location. Solved an issue where story information was revealed to the player in certain situations, even if the player did not satisfy the requirements needed. Minor story consistency adjustments.

  Another Chance is out!

  The day has finally come! After months of development and polish, it is now up to you to save Naomi (and maybe even the world?). Dive headfirst into Taiki's story, a worried husband doing his best to reunite with his wife Naomi, traversing his town, mysteriously besieged by alien invaders. On your way you will encounter various residents of the city. Choosing to help them will grant you with items which you can use further down the line. But be careful! Time is crucial during an apocalypse, and every minute spent is one more minute Taiki is separated from Naomi. It is up to you to decide whether taking your time is better than ignoring everything in your path and rushing through. We are very excited for the launch, Another Chance being our first ever commercial game. It is quite daunting, and we are super stoked to have witnessed it grow and evolve this much! The lessons we learned during development are invaluable, both in a professional context and in our daily lives.
