About this game

Starshapes is a relaxing puzzle drawing game where your solutions become beautiful neon-like star constellations!

Many puzzles in Starshapes are open ended, meaning they can have multiple solutions - which ones will you find?

Puzzle mechanics are simple and intuitive, but can have unexpected synergies where you will have to explore and experiment with them to find the solution and progress.

The universe of Starshapes is interconnected and exists as a seamless world with pockets of puzzles contained in each their own star system. Certain areas are optional, while the order of the main puzzles is linear.

Previously solved puzzles in the same area will be visible as constellations in the background of your current puzzle!

Solve Puzzle Constellations

Explore a cozy corner of the galaxy and re-imagine what star systems could look like.

Starshapes features over 100 hand-made logic puzzles and almost 90 real-life constellations as bonus 'connect the dots' type puzzles! Soak in the beautiful starlight of all the puzzles you’ve completed along your journey and unlock new and interesting rules as you progress!

Gameplay

  • Draw and Destroy lines between shapes to solve puzzles and create constellations.

  • Rotate puzzles in 3D and Zoom In & Out to view them from different angles.

  • Smooth and elegant animations make learning the gameplay easy and intuitive.

Accessibility & QOL Features

  • Toggle Color Symbols and Connection Numbers on or off at any time.

  • Hint system: You can toggle 'Show Solution' on in any puzzle in the entire game.

  • Undo, Redo and Reset with convenient shortcuts on both keyboard and gamepad.

Development Progress: 25th of November 2025

Hello! And once again, thank you for your patience! It has been a little while, and a lot of progress has been made on the game since last time, so let’s not waste any time...Here are the highlights:Added and mostly done with over 95% of all puzzles!Added and mostly done with Controller support! (mainly Xbox and Playstation but should hopefully work with most gamepads!)Added and mostly done with Steam deck performance and compatibility checks!Added and mostly done with background music (I found a composer!)Added and mostly done with Menus & SettingsHuge performance improvements related to rendering (Even the Steam Deck can now run it at over 4K 30fps !)Improved rendering quality related to anti-aliasingTons of bug fixes and crash fixes, including the official unity security patch from SeptemberAdded a bunch of gameplay and accessibility related settingsAnd a lot of polish to various features...MusicThe best news in my opinion, is that; I found a music composer for the game!In fact, it was shortly after the last update, that they agreed to start working on the music for the game, and have been working hard on it ever since! In fact, the music is already way over halfway done and while I won’t mention their name just yet, I can reveal that as part of our agreement, you will be able to support the composer directly by buying the soundtrack here on Steam! (and on other platforms!) Now, the reason that this is the best news for me, is that I had to learn the hard way, that I cannot compose music, at least not without practicing for the next 3 years or something... So I’m extremely happy that they decided to help me out, and I hope you’ll enjoy listening to the music as you solve all the puzzles!DemoNow on a completely different note, you may have noticed that I haven’t worked directly on getting a demo ready, and that’s due to a change in strategy; I’ve decided to finish the game first and then create the demo from it afterwards. The reason for doing it this way is simple...

Development Progress: 12th of April 2025

Hi again, thanks for your patience in this *checks notes* 1 YEAR of relative silence from me. I say relative, because I have been posting some development sneak peaks on bsky, but no announcements or anything like that (and I didn't think to promote it here on steam, my bad), so... whats the status? Wasn't it supposed to release last year? Or this year? Yes, that's right, it was supposed to be out by now, but it isn't, and it probably won't be for a while yet, HOWEVER: There has been made a huge amount of progress on the development of the game and it is now at a point where I almost have a fully playable demo ready for you - which currently has no music... yet. And since it doesn't have music, or quite final sound effects, I don't feel comfortable sharing that demo with you just yet, since it doesn't reflect the full game where there WILL be music to enjoy while solving puzzles. Also, while I was posting to bsky for all of november last year, to test the waters of marketing, I ended up proving to myself that I can only really focus on one thing at a time in terms of working on the game vs. communicating / marketing it. Case in point: I roughly spent 3 hours making this update (writing the post, formatting the post, taking screenshots for the header, editing the screenshot/header to look nice, proofreading the post, etc...) So all that is to say, it will probably be another while until the next update and even later until release, since I would rather have something substantial to show for it, or something important to communicate, like this breakdown of the status of development on the game: As of 12th of april 2025, here's a breakdown of the development status of Starshapes, all of which are rough estimates: Development Progress Estimates: Backend Systems: 100% Bonus Puzzles: 95% Main Puzzles: 60% Gameplay systems / animation: 90% UI: 85% Sounds: 50% Environment Art / Graphics: 40% Music: 20% Total (540%) / 8 = ~67.5% Complete. So... if it took 3 years since the s...

    Starshapes Teaser Trailer!

Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to finally, properly show you what I’ve been working on! Trailers I mentioned in my first update here that I would focus on working on the game instead of providing constant dev updates, which is exactly what I’ve been doing! Here is the first Trailer for the game, showcasing some early gameplay so you can get a feel for what the game will be like. At some point I’ll also make another Trailer, which goes more into detail about gameplay, mechanics and maybe a release date ;) Socials Now, if you want to see more than just the new Teaser Trailer, you can now follow the development Starshapes on social media, where I will be posting various behind the scenes content: YouTube Channel Twitter Reddit TikTok Demo & Future I’ll admit that I was a little too optimistic about getting a demo out last year, so this time around I’ll simply say that I’m working hard to get it ready for a Steam Next Fest some unspecific time in the future :) -Peter

    Starshapes is Coming to Steam!

Hello everyone! Starshapes is officially in development and I'm super excited to share the journey with you all! Who is Entire Games? But before we get into that, I should introduce myself first! Hi I'm Peter, and I make up the entirety of Entire Games! Yes!- Starshapes is currently just a one-person project and everything from coding to audio to marketing is being done by me. I have a strong vision for the game that I want Starshapes to be, but developing it will take time. So even though I would love to write frequent development updates, I think the time would be better spent working on the game! In other words, I'll only be posting development updates when I will have something really cool to share, so I hope you'll look forward to that and will check it out! Community & Socials Similarly, I would love to hear your thoughts on the game as well, but right now I'm not quite ready to maintain multiple social media channels. So for the time being, feel free to use the Community Hub here on Steam to share your thoughts on Starshapes :) Demo & Gameplay Trailer I'm especially excited to hear what you think about the game when the Demo comes out later this year and when the Gameplay Trailer drops! That's all of the roadmap I can share for now, so make sure to Follow Starshapes here on Steam for future development updates and Wishlist the game to be notified when it releases! -Peter (Entire Games)
