Navigate the eerie corridors of NeverHome Ch.1 - Hall of Apathy, using logic and skill to solve puzzles and find your way out in this atmospheric indie game from Shadow Gengis.

About this game

Look who's finally decided to wake up.

In NeverHome, a young girl named Granger suddenly awakens in a world that's not her own. Brave through a hostile world using only your wits and the help of new friends you make along the way to return to your reality.

Explore liminal and abstract series of rooms as you solve puzzles and search for the truth of these never-ending halls. You might even encounter interesting secrets along the way. But be aware: these halls are not empty– they never were.

NeverHome - Hall of Apathy is the first chapter in a larger anthology-style game, inspired by RPG Maker horror games from the early 2010's. Expect it to take at least a few hours to complete.

A minor warning: This game is a horror game. As such, it contains minor amounts of blood and other unsettling imagery.
Epilepsy warning: This game contains some scenes with flashing or bright images. Viewer discretion is advised.

Version 3.0: The JP Localization Update

You read that right!NeverHome - Hall of Apathy is now fully playable in Japanese! Every line of dialogue, every menu option, EVERYTHING! It's a super exciting update that can introduce the game to so many new players!!For those of you who've already begun playing the game, you'll need to navigate to the "Options" menu on the title screen and toggle the "language" setting. Doing this will let you freely swap between the English and Japanese text for the game. For new players, the game should automatically detect your region when first starting, but I haven't really been able to test that feature.Along with this big change, there's also been a few minor alterations to the Hall of Apathy. I won't go into each little detail, but it's something like this:More sound/visual effects for things that used to look a little plainSome updated sound effects for things that sounded a little offAdjusted the volume of certain songsFixed some bugs regarding save data and persistent save dataI hope everyone enjoys this new update and continues to enjoy NeverHome!
