About this game
This is my first game, created in within a limited timeframe and minimal budget, which is why it is not fully polished and uses many free assets. Every aspect of this game reflects a labor of love. It is my hope that you will enjoy it for what it is, and be able to see my vision and the potential of what it could be.
Welcome to The Monster War
This game combines 3 game modes into 1 exciting and unique experience, bringing to life the heroic exploits of Lyonel Cooper, a valiant knight from the pages of "A Tale of Destiny" (my first book). Play as our hero on a quest to protect the kingdom from a relentless onslaught of monstrous invaders.
Starting in the Side Scroller mode, immersive yourself in adventure across a landscape filled with danger. Push back the monstrous threat with combat and exploration, but beware—run out of time and the monster war will come to your front door.
If you do not win the Side Scroller mode, you are sent to the front lines of Tower Defense mode. Lead the battle against waves of enemies as you fortify the castle's defenses and thwart the advancing horde of goblins, orcs and trolls.
If you do manage to locate the monster's base in the side scroller mode, you must win the Casual Puzzle mode, to determine the fate of the kingdom. Launch catapults and dismantle their base piece by piece. Failure here will bring you back to the Side Scroller mode, requiring you to locate their nearest stronghold again, but victory will bring an end to the war!

COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF THE MONSTER WAR
A total overhaul to the game, from graphics to controls and level design. Finally the game looks like what I had originally envisioned. The experience has been cut down significantly in order to make it more manageable. It is a short gameplay experience, maybe 10 to 20 minutes, but it is fully polished now and ready for you to play to your hearts content. This game was always meant to be something fun that children could play for free without worry of difficulty, microtransactions, or save progress. Something you can put in front of a 6 year old and let them enjoy without having to worry. I hope you enjoy the new look and feel to the game! Please leave a review if you do. I will consider making more content for the game in the future if there is a demand for it. HUGE UPDATE! Complete overhaul of the game
There's more patch notes than I can provide right now. I wasn't prepared to provide a big list lol but basically I fixed everything and replaced all of the meshes so that it is no longer going for that "realistic" fantasy look but instead is very cartoonish and childlike as the game is meant for children.
