  Fall Fix Up

  Hi all,Firstly, we just wanted to say a MASSIVE thanks to everyone who picked up Star Trucker recently, and to those returning and getting stuck into the new content. It's great to see so many people discovering the game and enjoying all the new features.Saying that, it’s become apparent that despite some of the most extensive testing we've ever done, some issues have still found their way into the update.The good news is that we had begun work on a quality-of-life update before this release and have reprioritized our task list to address various issues reported over the weekend.We'll be honest. It's a little disheartening to see these issues crop up after all of the testing we'd done, and we can only apologize to those affected by any problems.Rest assured.   Howdy all! We’re celebrating 2 incredible years of Star Truckin’ with a chunky new update! Check out the mini-trailer below for a quick preview! Plants & PostLet’s jump straight in with the important stuff. Alongside a smorgasbord of tweaks and improvements this update also features TWO new business ventures for you to unlock and enjoy. SPECIALIST COURIER is a FREE unlock and introduces a range of jobs themed around mail alongside a range of fantastic new customization rewards. CULTIVATION EXPERT is a PREMIUM venture that can be unlocked as part of the new Cultivation Content Pack. This DLC unlocks a new set of jobs, rewards PLUS unique new trailers and cargo to haul. Read on for a full rundown of new content alongside a ton of images taken directly from the update 📸 Specialist CourierOnce you have the update, the new postal themed business venture can be accessed shortly after unlocking Zone 2 or 3. It’s worth noting that you’ll need to wait 1h of in-game time ( or jump to a nearby sector ) to trigger the first interaction but then you’ll be good to go! Once unlocked you’ll be contacted by Ricardo from the Galactic Postal Service. He’s a fellow courier, voiced by the talented Dre Ayala, and will provide audio cues for different jobs while keeping you updated (whether you like it or not) on his chosen career path… As with the Galactic Handyman you’ll start with 1 job slot that can be upgraded by purchasing venture boosts using in-game currency. The available jobs include… DELIVERY ROUNDCollect mail from a collection point and deliver it to multiple mailboxes within the sector. Mail includes bundles of letters, magazines and newspapers.   DevBlog #25 - Road Bumps & Refinements

  Howdy Star Truckers, It’s been a busy few months for us so we wanted to check in and give you a quick update on our progress towards the next content drop…Update on the Update A little while ago we posted a plan to roll out updates in June and September. Unfortunately, we hit a couple of bumps in the road(map). This was in part due to Dave needing surgery (I’m alive and OK! But needed plenty of bunk rest - Dave) alongside some technical challenges and a lengthy QA schedule. As a result, the next update is now scheduled for late August. For those curious here’s a high-level breakdown of how that time will be spent… On the plus it gives us more time to polish the update and sync with QA, addressing any major issues before the update heads out for approvals (It might also let artist Alex sneak in a couple of extra treats). It should also be noted that this is only part of what we’re up to. Work on a future update is also well underway, and progress continues in parallel. Addressing Feedback It’s been said before but we try our best to heed all of your feedback. So let’s take a moment to run through some things we’ve noted and are currently addressing… AccessibilityFirst up we’ve had a few messages about accessibility and the general user experience and where possible we’re always keen to address what we can. One of these requests was to provide a toggle for the seated zoom. This was something fairly straightforward to implement so from next update you’ll have an option to switch between the following cab zoom modes..
