Embark on a mysterious journey as Lee Shing, security guard of a twisted 90s Hong Kong public housing block. Your decisions unlock diverse outcomes and hidden truths in this indie adventure.

About this game

Every scene is a foreshadowing.
This is more than just a “ghost story.”
By unlocking different endings, your expectations will be overturned—twice—and your understanding of the truth will shift in completely unexpected ways.

“The Haunted Building: The Locksmith on the First Floor” is a uniquely styled horror adventure set in the public housing block Cheung Wing House.
You play as Lee Shing, a young part-time security guard who becomes entangled in a series of unforgettable, nerve-wracking events inside this mysterious building.

The story takes place in a residential block scheduled for demolition and redevelopment.
Because a handful of tenants still refuse to move out, your main duty is to collect their relocation consent forms.

However, you soon discover that strange things lurk in every corner.
Each remaining resident behaves in unsettling ways…
And rumors of terrifying spirits wandering the building only make Lee Shing’s investigation even more dangerous.

Set against the backdrop of 1990s Hong Kong, the game carries a strong nostalgic charm reminiscent of classic Hong Kong cinema, letting players relive an era filled with atmosphere and tension.

About Unit One: The Locksmith

The first chapter focuses on a locksmith living on the first floor.
You must find a way—by any means necessary—to convince him to leave, and unravel the mysteries surrounding him.

Every choice you make shapes the story and leads to multiple endings.
Some truths require more than one playthrough to uncover.
Whether the tenants live or die, and whether Lee Shing can survive and see through the lies—all depends on you.

*The second unit “The Braided-Hair Girl” is currently in development, along with the series prequel “Urban Legend: Takeout.” Stay tuned!

A Message to Everyone Who Has Supported My Games

Hello everyone, This is the creator.I’d like to share a brief update with those who have supported my work over the years. Today, my new game Heartbeat House: Hong Kong has officially been released. On the surface, this project is a dating reality visual novel set in Hong Kong, which may feel quite different from the themes many of you are familiar with. However, at its core, it is still a story about people, choices, and consequences. If you’ve played The Haunted Building series, you may know that I’ve always been interested in what lies beneath the surface. Heartbeat House: Hong Kong continues this creative direction, just presented through a seemingly lighter exterior.About Heartbeat House: Hong KongIn the game, you will live in a shared villa in Hong Kong with eight participants, freely interacting, forming relationships, and making choices over 45 days. Some elements may not fully reveal themselves on your first playthrough. Certain changes become clearer only if you take a few more steps. If, at any point, something feels slightly off— that is not by accident. This is once again a project with a strong sense of completion, created under a very challenging development process. If you’re willing to take some time to experience it, I would truly appreciate it.Regardless of whether this genre resonates with you, thank you sincerely for your continued support of my work.
