About this game

I HAD A PLAN!

You are a Wizard. A brilliant Wizard, with a brilliant plan. Unfortunately you also have team mates. As you make your way through dungeons and enchanted forests alike, you need to manage your team mates… and your frustration. I Had A Plan! is a Tactical Roguelite Semi-Autobattler, which takes place in a 3D world with Hex Grids, using 2D Characters.

GIVE COMMANDS!

You don’t fight with your Wizard directly, instead you can give your team orders, which they might follow. If they do listen, they follow your orders and get a small bonus to that action. If they do not however, your frustration grows. Your frustration meter is vital, once it fills up, there is only one answer: Fireball.

WATCH THEM FIGHT!

Don't feel like telling them what to do? Maybe they're smart enough to win by themselves! Or maybe they're not, and they'll burn, it's a win-win!

AND MUCH MORE!

- Find new Characters to Recruit!

- Equip your team with insane weapons!

- Use magical Charms to shape your run and break the game!

- Choose your path through mysterious Realms!

- Discoveries, Realm Quests and Metaprogression will keep you coming back!

Patch 1.2.1: Rise of the Summoners!

This patch brings some fresh content for you to play around with, as well as balance changes and bug fixes. New Content: - A new Ally joins the ranks, recruitable from the start, if you're lucky enough to find them (Rarity: Rare)! The Silent Summoner comes with two new unique Abilities (Unrelent and Eternal Shroud), obviously focused on the newly empowered Summons. - A new Summoned character, specifically for the Silent Summoner called Unrelenting. A powerful Fighter/Tank Summon who comes with a new unique Ability as well: Shield Wall, which temporarily boosts the Armor of an Ally. He also hits pretty hard! New Run Charms: - Feral Teachings: sets the Crit Chance of all your Summons to 100%. - Hearty Helpers: increases the Armor and Resistance of all your Summons by 35%. - Head Pats: doubles the Health and Strength scaling of all your Summons from the Caster's Level. - NT's Blinders: inspired by Noble Tale Plays, who played an earlier version where the game didn't tell you exactly how likely an Ally was to listen to your Command, it just showed the yellow bar. His playthrough is why you are now shown that percentage... unless you pick this Charm, in which case the percentage AND the yellow bar are hidden. In return, the chance they'll listen will never be below 50%. Balance: - Summons are now much more powerful later on, as their Strength increases along their Health, based on the Caster's Level. The following three changes affect specific combats, as there were three large outliers, killing quite a few runs: - The Snowy Peaks Realm Quest fight now has one fewer 'Giant', Lil Slugger remains on the bench. - The Draconic Spire final fight was too much of a Damage check, so the Summons there now have 10% Armor and Resistance, down from 20%. - General Zzam's 'Fire the Cannons!' Ability is still really funny to me, but it would be even funnier if you had a chance to survive. Slightly lowered the base Damage per Cannon from 5 to 4.75. Bug fixes: - Removed the videos during...

    Patch 1.1.2: All About Control

A requested feature was being able to adjust the controls for mouse/keyboard and now it's here! Note that it's still a bit experimental, most keys should work just fine, but it's possible some images don't match up. If so, let me know and I'll adjust that! For now it's only Mouse/Keyboard controls, so XboX and PlayStation controllers cannot have their keybinds changed. This patch also comes with a few bug fixes: - Fixed an issue where after unlocking the 'Hidden Realm', the option to go there immediately did not work. - Fixed an issue where the large D20 after rolling a Perception Check was being deleted too quickly. Now the D20 can soar once more!

    Patch 1.1.1: Scheduled Patch

Time for the first scheduled patch! The launch was a bit of a rollercoaster, with an overall very positive reception, but a few more bugs than I would have liked. There are still a few issues that I will have to sort out in the coming days and weeks, so expect the patches to keep rolling in. This patch offers some bug fixes, but mostly some overall improvements. Improvements: - Added a 'flashlight' for the darker scenes. When delving through sewers or traversing icy cliffs at night, sometimes you need a little bit of help navigating. That's where the flashlight comes in! You can activate/deactivate it by pressing left Control (when using a keyboard) or dpad up (when using a controller). You can also see that on screen. - Changed the dark blue color used for 'Rare' rarity and 'Buff' type Abilities to a lighter shade, so it's easier to see against the dark backgrounds. - Ensured all of the sound effects for Abilities are properly routed to the 'Effects' channel so they are affected by the audio settings. - You can now see what Level the final boss is at! Content: - Added 'Skald' to the pool of Enemies you can face in a few Realms. this poor Giant had been sitting on the sideline for no reason. Bug fix: - Fixed an issue where the 'Don't give a command' option was sometimes not available (and showed a '1' instead of the proper key).
