About this game

Luckie Ball is a short precision platformer where nothing is fully solid. You'll float to the top of everything!

Inspired by the Flash games you used to play in the school computer lab, Luckie Ball features dozens of hand-drawn levels for you to traverse through. The tight and responsive controls lend well to advanced mechanics and optimized movement.

  • Collect Luckie Coins to unlock a wealth of bonus levels and character skins!
  • Take on the Extreme Gauntlet, a set of three torturous levels that'll test the limits of your patience and skill. Expert understanding of the physics engine is mandatory.
  • Flex your creative muscles with the custom level creator! Share the level file with your friends so they can enjoy your masterpieces too.
  • Need another way to compete? Set the fastest time you can in Speedrun Mode!

All of this content is totally free. There's no in-app purchases or paid DLC! That means there's no excuse for you not to play. Or maybe there is. I'm not you, I wouldn't know.

    4/15/23 Bug Fix Update

The first update for Luckie Ball is out! You can check your version in the top right of the options menu. It should read build 4-15-23_4-30. If you're not on the new version, try uninstalling and reinstalling your game. Don't worry, your save file should still be intact after uninstalling. Changes Reworked a few annoying parts in B-B Blocked the cheese route in EG-3 Fixed the portal being layered behind objects when playing custom levels Fixed the speedrun timer staying active after leaving speedrun mode Fixed the incorrect menu music playing when exiting a Bonus or Extreme Gauntlet level Fixed the player sometimes not dying when falling off of the map in the Bonus levels Fixed the Feeling Luckie achievement not registering correctly for some people The game files should no longer be fasely flagged as malware by some antivirus software Known Issues The player does not automatically float on platforms in B-4 // I have no idea what causes this bug, I might just replace the entire level Volume slider does not resize correctly along with the window // I'm going to remove the current slider and code my own from scratch You can place objects under the ground in certain spots when creating a custom level // The fix for this is somewhat complicated and it's a nontrivial bug, so I'm not worried about it right now That's all for now, there will be bigger and better updates in the future. Let me know if you find any more bugs or annoyances and I'll try to fix them. Thanks for playing!

    Launch Info

Hello, this is my first Steam page announcement! It'll be the first of many. Anyways... Reminder that the game releases April 14 for free! You should wishlist it while you wait. I also wanted to provide more info about the game and it's future once it releases. So here's an FAQ! (Well, they aren't frequently asked, but still important to know.) FAQ What platforms will the game be on? Windows only for now. I may add Mac if enough people want it. Each platform I export for costs money, so I'm not going to port it to tons of devices. How long does it take to complete? In a first time playthrough, the four main worlds will take you roughly 20 minutes. However, the Bonus Levels and Extreme Gauntlet require a few hours at the least. Is there a tutorial? The platforming looks a little confusing. The first five levels contain helpful tips that'll teach you the basics. It's easy to get the hang of! Will there be updates or future content? Yes! I plan to roll out bug fixes and additional levels over time. There are a few other features I'd like to add at some point, like a co-op mode and controller support. But no guarantees yet! Is the soundtrack going to be released anywhere? Yes, on the same day as the game's release! It'll be free to download on my Bandcamp page. I even remastered and expanded all the songs a little bit. Are there any Steam integration goodies, like achievements? Yes, there's currently 12 achievements for you to unlock! (Each one has a circle-related pun for its name, which took an embarrassing amount of brainstorming to acomplish.) Leaderboards and cloud saves are both things I'm interested in supporting as well but aren't included at the moment. What are your thoughts on the ever-dividing bipartisan sociopolitical climate in the United States? I think both sides should play Luckie Ball. That's it for now. I'll be sure to post handy announcements like these before and after launch. Thanks for taking interest in Luckie Ball, and I hope you enjoy it when i...
