Until that date, the game will remain paid on Steam. If you are thinking about buying Mushroots during this final period before the transition, please keep in mind that the game will become free very soon.First of all, thank you.Thank you to everyone who bought Mushroots, played it, gave feedback, reported bugs, left a review, or simply gave this strange little mushroom war a chance. It genuinely means a lot to us.When we started working on Mushroots, we wanted to create an unusual strategy game. Not a classic RTS focused on fast unit control and constant micromanagement, but something more uncommon.We still believe there is something strong in that idea. Some players really understood the gameplay and enjoyed the unusual approach to strategy, and we are very grateful for that.At the same time, we need to be honest about the reality of the project.Mushroots did not reach the audience size we had hoped for. For any game, that is difficult. For a multiplayer strategy game built around matchmaking and an active player base, it is especially important. Without enough active players, matchmaking suffers, balance becomes harder to support, and the game cannot fully become what it was designed to be.Looking back, we also made mistakes with scope and complexity.
