About Fae & Fauna
Fae & Fauna is an open world creature collecting role-playing game combining the very best elements of the genre! Decorate and expand your home, complete quests, craft new gear and head out on exciting adventures with your pet companions, called Faeons.
Take on the role as a research assistant at the Saltwick Academy, where not all is what it seems...
Create Your Character
Set out on your adventure in Saltwick as your own unique character. Customize your appearance with a variety of hairstyles, colours, and clothing before choosing character background and personality quirks which will affect the challenges and opportunities you encounter.
Discover & Befriend Faeons
During your adventures, you will befriend, collect and fight alongside the still mysterious creatures known as Faeons. Part of your mission is to learn the unknowns about your companions, and even create new ones using the power of alchemy.
Collect Resources & Craft Your Equipment
The world around you is filled with trinkets and wonders in physical form. While on your journey, you’ll be able to gather forageables, loot materials for your equipment and pick up magical components for your alchemical concoctions.
Make Your House A Home
As you begin your journey, you’ll be granted a home to call your own. Here you can build and decorate your haven to be a place of comfort in Saltwick. Choose from a variety of decor styles with matching sets to suit your preferred home aesthetic.
Discover the World and Test Your Combat Skills
While you take on the world of Fae & Fauna, you’ll be able to explore high mountains, deep caves and all magical landscapes in between. Fight the mischievous creatures known as Knytt, find treasures and put your team dynamic to the test against the foes lurking in the forests.
Build Meaningful Relationships & Find Love
During your Fae & Fauna journey you will run into an assortment of characters. Some will sell you delights and necessities for your travels, while others might ask for your aid in quests. Hear their stories, build up your relationships and maybe you’ll even find love amongst your peers.

Hello wonderful Fae & Fauna Community! 🎮We're overjoyed to share some incredible news with you, as we’ve been selected to be a part of the Games in Sweden event! 🎮 It's so exciting to be a part of this event celebrating games made in Sweden. The Swedish game dev community has welcomed us with open arms we're proud to finally be a part of it. Through the Sweden game incubator, we’ve received so much support and help on the journey to make this studio a reality. 🏡🫎We want to give an extra shout-out to our fellow neighbor indie studios (whom we have breakfast with every Tuesday) that we hold closer to our hearts and we’d love if you’d check them out as well! Odinfall is a cool Rough-lite viking inspired twin-stick shooter, made by some extremely passionate and nice people at Ember Paw Games. Their game gets your heart pumping and your palms sweaty (in a good way), and a game you should definitely keep on your radar (and your wishlist) Esoteric Ebb is a Disco-like RPG, that mixes hilarious witty writing with political conspiracies, which shouldn’t work, but with Christoffer Bodegård at Sudden Snail expertise narrative design and built in charm, makes it a blast. 🎮 Community Update: A new year! 🌟 Lovely Fae & Fauna community, As we kick off 2024, we're thrilled to share some highlights and insights into what's been brewing behind the scenes: 🎬Looking back at 2023 2023 was the year our studio was born, and we grew from tiny seedlings to bigger, more experienced plants. Through the support of our community, our incubator and fellow game devs, this journey has been a blast. We forged friendships, made important insight and got to discuss our ideas over pizza and a hefty amount of cake. 🛠️ What Are the Devs Doing? Our small team of devs have been hard at work, refining our pipeline and deciding on some big changes for us as a studio and for the project. Therefore we’re happy to say… 🌟 We’ve made the switch to Unreal 5! Yes, you heard it right! We're making the leap to Unreal Engine 5. This move allows us to take advantage of the tech and more possibilities within this engine. We’re ready to take this game to the next level and want to deliver something beautiful and sustainable.
