  Update 0.21 - The Wild Side

  Welcome To The Wild Side!The Wild Side introduces animals, fishing, farming, new terrain generation, new resources, new equipment, and a huge range of gameplay, balance, and quality-of-life improvements.Hunt wildlife across the island, cast a line, build irrigation systems for your crops, and explore newly generated lakes, bays, and terrain.AnimalsWildlife has arrived across the island, including:ChickensDeerBoarsBearsBears and boars are hostile, so getting too close can turn dangerous fast. Animals also react to loud sounds like gunshots.Animals have blindspots you can use to sneak up on them more carefully.Animals can be hunted for new resources including animal fat, leather, and meat.Animal fat is now an important part of Strayed's crafting, with several recipes rebalanced around the new resource:Basic Fuel: 2 Cloth + 3 Animal FatFurnaces: 50 Basic FuelLarge Furnaces: 100 Basic FuelRockets: 15 Basic FuelC4: 30 Basic FuelMedical Syringes: 6 Basic FuelLeather can be used to craft the new Leather Armor set.FishingThe Improvised Fishing Rod is craftable and a learned blueprint by default.Cloth Plants will now yield worms which can be used as bait.Use the Fishing Rod to catch:HerringBluegillBrook TroutRainbow TroutSalmonCasting further gives you a better chance of catching larger and rarer fish.To catch the fish after a bite, pull the fish towards you, then reel in the slack.   Pausing Steam Sales

  To our Steam community, It pains us to make this announcement, but due to the relentless cheating that has appeared in the last couple weeks, we've made the difficult decision to temporarily pause sales of Strayed on Steam until July 6. This prevents cheaters from rebuying the game on new accounts, which has been their only method of evading bans. This is not a decision we take lightly. We know many people have been excited to join the game, and we're deeply sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause. This isn't something we wanted to do, but our time is being stretched thin, and we can't continue to support the game in other ways while needing to divert so much attention and resources to moderation. Our focus right now is on addressing the issues affecting the experience of our existing player base and implementing improvements that will help protect the game moving forward.Thank you to everyone who has supported Strayed, reported cheaters, and remained patient during this time. We are committed to doing everything we can to improve the situation and keep Strayed fun and fair for all.We look forward to reopening sales on July 6, and apologies again for the inconvenience this causes to those that wanted to play fair.   Update 0.19.0.0 - Buried Origin

  Buried Origin Has ArrivedWelcome to Buried Origin, SurvivorsBuried Origin introduces the new Research Lab Monument, an abandoned underground facility once used for cloning research. Alongside this new monument, the update brings the new KP31 SMG, a wide range of model reworks, a new server queue system, voice chat improvements, major Quest stability fixes, and performance upgrades across several key monuments.Research Lab MonumentThe Research Lab is a new monument with a large underground portion accessible by various elevators.Once used as a cloning facility, the lab now sits abandoned, and waiting to be explored. Players who make their way inside will find a more enclosed monument experience, with tight corridors, hidden rooms, and the remnants of something that was never meant to be uncovered.KP31 SMGThe KP31 SMG has arrived.This new makeshift submachine gun is designed to sit between the SMG and the P90, giving players another option in close to mid-range combat. The KP31 adds a fresh step to weapon progression and gives survivors another tool to fight their way through the islands.Model ReworksThe Stone Hatchet, Stone Pickaxe, Medical Syringe, C4, Sleeping Bag, Wire Tool, and Torch have all received updated models, improving visual quality and helping bring older items more in line with Strayed’s current art direction.Queue SystemA new Queue System has been added to Strayed.When a server is full, players can now wait in a queue instead of repeatedly trying to join manually.
