Monthly demo update - Julienne - Released
It's that time of the month again! To showcase the new and improved equipment systems in the game, this update has been named Julienne Here's an overview.. Reputation is back! Reputation is a resource gained by preparing jobs that is used to increase your rank as a chef. Every time you rank up, you'll receive a delivery as a reward. This is the new way to find equipment for your kitchen Equipment abilities rework Equipment items now appear around your kitchen in the work phase, rather than a bar on the side. Many of the abilities have been updated, and new equipment items have been added (with plenty more to come). Equipment systems have been ripped out and completely rewritten under the hood, which has created a lot of opportunities for me to add cool abilities that simply were not possible with the previous iteration Tokens have values Tokens are no longer only equal to 1, they have a value determined by their source. For example, all knives now create a token of their associated value, rather than altering dice directly Improved the heat UI No longer tucked at the bottom of the screen, half invisible. Heat will also show a preview based on the jobs you have ready New abilities for early game items Tomato, Cabbage, Spinach, Bacon, Paprika and Garlic have all been updated. Other ingredients are scheduled for changes in the future New Injured status Currently only applying to one piece of equipment but with plenty more sources to come, chef can now become injured resulting in a face being unusable for the rest of the day Random UI Tweaks and new SFX I've been altering and tidying up all sorts of bits and pieces, as well as adding a couple of sfx here or there The demo is now live, if you encounter any bugs please report them in the DiscordRead full article on Community Announcements (Yuri)Patch NotesOfficial

Public Beta: Carrot Update
18.7.2023 - Carrot Update - 0.5.1.0 Whats new? Chefs are now items that can be moved around within your inventory This took a lot of work behind the scenes to get working, but it opens doors for heaps of new and interesting content in the future. There is only one shape and size at the moment but this will be expanded upon later. Only ingredients that are 'prepared' by a chef add their recipe to the menu. An ingredient is prepared by a chef if that chef has it in their frame Added the new Seasoning ability The Seasoning ability allows ingredients to modify other ingredients they share a chef with - Bay Leaves: Adds a lot of reputation to other recipes but is itself unusable (an X face) - Breadcrumbs: Changes the recipe of other ingredients to be ONES - Five-spice: Other recipes have a capacity of 5 - Ginger: Flips the tier of other ingredients (1 becomes 6, 2 becomes 5, etc) - Pepper: Increases the score that other recipes give on completion - Salt: Increases the reputation that other recipes give on completion - Turmeric: Sets the reputation of other recipes to a flat value Added new basic ingredients - Corn and Lettuce: Cheap ingredients with no recipe. Add faces to your dice without diluting your menu! - Kale: Two recipes on one ingredient! Very useful for seasoning synergiesRead full article on Community Announcements (Yuri)Patch NotesOfficial
