About this game
Umbratica Tactics is a roguelike deckbuilding tactics game that combines the precise tactical combat of “Into the Breach” and the strategic deck crafting of “Slay the Spire”. Lead a squad of vampire slayers as you banish the fiendish creatures that have taken over the cursed land of Umbratica.
Precise no-RNG tactical turn-based combat: Deploy your squad of vampire slayers in a series of fast-paced grid-based combats. Purge this land from the ghouls, fiends, and other deadly monstrosities that inhabit the night!
Strategic roguelike deckbuilding: Your squad abilities are determined by your deck! So as you make your way through the cursed land of Umbratica you’ll gather new cards. You’ll use these as your squad's attacks, actions, and abilities in combat!
Deeply customizable playstyle: As you play each run you’ll have several options over the way your squad fights. First, you’ll select the heroes that’ll go on your journey, each has their own set of available cards! As your journey progresses you’ll find different cards and you’ll upgrade them to further customize your playstyle, you’ll find powerful ancient relics that affect the functioning of the whole squad, and also mysterious items that can boost (and nerf) individual hero's stats and also add special status during combat. Strategically combine all of these elements to express your playstyle fully!
Roguelike run generation: Each time you dare to adventure into the gothic land of Umbratica the layout will be different. Different combat stages and rewards, different text-based events, different cards, relics, and items. No two runs are the same!

We're part of the Steam Strategy Fest
Umbratica Tactics will participate in the upcoming Steam Strategy Fest! We'll be releasing a new and updated version of our demo. This new demo will feature a very requested UNDO button, a rebalance for the probabilities of both the cards and relics, and improved UI and new animations for all the cards. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43830969/9add27bb1a3d10aa1e64e9f606b404bdb1b2ea18.jpg Things to look forward to in this demo: A very requested UNDO button: A lot of people have asked for the ability to undo a move that may have not been the best strategic decision. Now you can finally undo all the movement actions you want. Cards and Relics rebalance: Some cards and relics were appearing more often than others, so we rebalanced the probability for each card rarity, and now you feel more variety throughout the entire game. Improved UI: A LOT of fixes in readability and overall presentation of the UI in different sections of the game. Also, a lot of fixes in card, relic, and status descriptions to make everything easier to understand. New animations for all the cards: New animations, particles, vfx, and sfx for all the cards with the only purpose of delighting our players.
