Explore Ember's dual worlds as you gather resources by day and transform into a fiery Werefox at night, battling spooky enemies in this unique roguelite experience from LionArc.
About this game
Play the role of young Ember, curiously resourceful by day and mystically fierce by night.
Don't let her appearance fool you! That's a foxtail, not a ponytail!
🦊 One-half blazing, roguelite combat
👧 One-half strategic, lightweight survival
Key Features:
Explore a dream forest as young Ember, collecting, discovering, building and preparing for the dangers of night.
Battle relentless terrors of the darkness as a mystical Werefox, empowered with fiery abilities, cosmic powers, and favorable combinations of upgrades.
Between dreams, awaken to Ember's bedroom, where new techniques and permanent growth can be claimed, and dream-altering outfits can be unlocked.
Throughout this 4 Chapter narrative, Ember's memories beyond the forest will invade, driving her to rely on a cast of magical friends in overcoming the manifestations of her nightmares!
Utilize the Dream Forest
The woods in Ember's dreams are full of mysteries and resources she can use to survive. Find materials to prepare light sources for nightfall. Pick, pull, gather and catch heaps of different fox foods to empower Ember's werefox form!
Ember's menu-free crafting experience enables you to quickly stack components together as you dash around the woods, using the fleeting daylight hours to quickly explore, scavenge and craft.
Battle the Tides Of Terror
As darkness envelops the woods, Ember will take on her combat-proficient form, enchanted with fiery abilities and magical powers. As she eats meals, combine various skills to stack up a strategic fighting chance against the ever-increasing bombardment of spooky enemies.
Take back the forest from the manifested fragments of fear to slowly and permanently populate the forest with new food sources, enabling Ember to become yet even stronger!
Safe and Sound
As Ember is defeated in her dreams, she awakens to her cozy bedroom. Her talking plush fox waits for her there, to absorb the heavy "dreamite" Ember collects while asleep. Converted into "courage", this redeemed resource is used to purchase new abilities and permanent upgrades!
By accomplishing specific achievements in her dreams, Ember will also unlock dozens of new outfits, which will enchant her and the dream forest in many different ways!
Finally, before heading back to bed, Ember can catch up on her dream journal illustrations; doodles which keep track of new discoveries, progress and give rewards!
Growing and Evolving
While the plush upgrades, outfits, and story-based tasks completed in dreams are permanent, there are several ways each dream will give Ember a fresh start:
Experiment with a different combination of werefox abilities through feasting in the branching and expanding skill tree.
Collect "Solis" through Ember's clever feats by day to earn randomized choices of productive "Sun Powers".
Collect "Lunis" through Ember's werefox victories by night to earn randomized choices of combat-oriented "Moon Powers".
Visit one of several new, procedurally-evolving woodland biomes, ripe for Ember to explore, prepare and prove her tactics in.
By improving and adapting to each dream and it's secrets, you can help Ember confront and defeat the 4 nightmares of this ever-changing dream world!
