Update 0.13.0
Hello, Lords! After a long wait, I can finally give you what I’ve been working on for the past several months. Work on this update took so long because many completely new systems and mechanics have been added to the game, making it much more extensive in many ways. One of the biggest new features is the new Conquest Campaign, which offers a completely new experience, both visually and mechanically. In this campaign, you will venture into enemy territory, where the enemy has settlements of their own. Over time, they will grow stronger and begin attacking your settlement, so to achieve victory, you will have to conquer and destroy all enemy settlements. The missions in this campaign will be much longer, because building a powerful army capable of destroying such a settlement is far from easy and will require proper preparation. Fortunately, the islands where the enemy settlements are located also contain mysterious circles that will allow you to increase your strength even further.Unfortunately, I also have some bad news. The new Campaign currently contains only 2 missions. I realize that after such a long wait, some of you may have expected more, but I want every campaign mission to introduce something new to the game. The core mechanics added in this update alone required a tremendous amount of work. The good news is that adding more missions will now be much faster. If you would like to support my work even further and you have already purchased the game, you can also leave a review on Steam. Reviews are extremely helpful when it comes to promoting the game, allowing me to continue developing my passion :)Thank you all for your support, and I invite you to check out the full list of changes and new features included in this update!Conquest CampaignA new Conquest Campaign has been added to the game, featuring the first 2 missions. More missions will be added in future updates. The new campaign will differ somewhat from the previous one visually. Development News - Environment in the Conquest Campaign
Hi everyone,Today I’m coming to you with another batch of information about the new update, which introduces the beginning of a new Conquest campaign, along with many new features and changes. The update is getting closer to completion, so today I want to show you something more polished.I wanted the new campaign to look a bit different visually, and for the player to see familiar elements in a slightly new form. That’s why one of the new additions will be a new variety of trees, which will be much taller and will certainly add a unique look and atmosphere. In addition to those shown below, there will also be others, but I don’t want to reveal everything.Another new element is the sea, which will surround every map, effectively turning the new maps into islands. To wrap up this short post, here’s one more screenshot showing a (fairly distant) fragment of a new gameplay element I mentioned in the previous post, namely palisade structures. As I mentioned before, the new update will also include many other changes and new features, but I don’t want to reveal too much. This will likely be the last post before the new update is released, so see you soon.Read full article on Community Announcements ([LivingLegends] Randin)AnnouncementsOfficial
Development News - Conquest Mode
Hi everyone,I’ve been working on the new 0.13.0 update for quite some time, and I’d like to share some progress with you. The next update won’t be released anytime soon, and I also don’t want to stay silent for that long, especially since the amount of new content I’m planning to add is huge, which is why I’m making this post.As a reminder, this update and the following ones will focus on the new Conquest game mode.I want the new mode to feel more relaxing, giving players the freedom to make decisions and choose their next objectives without constant time pressure. At the same time, it will offer significantly more mechanics and strategic possibilities. In this mode, the player’s main objective will be to gradually conquer enemy settlements while also taking care of their own defenses, as the gameplay will revolve around strategic expansion planning, reacting to enemy actions, and fending off attacks from an enemy that will grow stronger over time.Settlements will develop over time and gradually increase in strength. I want them to form a cohesive, interconnected ecosystem, where destroying one settlement will have consequences for the others. To achieve this, the game will introduce a system for building palisades and gates, along with the ability to add additional elements such as archer platforms or defensive spikes. The player will be able to create such structures from individual elements that will automatically snap together, making it much easier to build clean and visually consistent constructions.Additionally, to further improve this system, once a building or wall segment is selected for placement, it will have a fixed orientation. Previously, buildings would always rotate to face the player, which made it difficult to place them precisely next to each other in a straight line.In addition to the elements shown in the images above, the game will also feature reinforced versions of palisades and gates, as well as barricades, which will serve as an upgraded form...Read full article on Community Announcements ([LivingLegends] Randin)Patch NotesOfficial
