"Neon. Door." The words shatter in your ears, ringing like tinnitus and dead radio waves. The ghostbox in your hand is still warm, and when you look up, across the alley, your eyes land on an abandoned cinema.

About this game
"Neon. Door. Neon. Door. Neon. Door."
Maybe you know this place. Maybe you've seen it before. Maybe every place actually exists in the screen, now, and it's just as good as going there. Exactly the same, in fact.
LIFE AT LFVCR
Our warehouse features ultramodern personal computing and classic analog entertainment systems, familiar and foreign: landline phones, spinning wheels, hydraulic set changers, Milwaukee pachinko, and more. A home-away-from-home, scattered with books, posters, boxes, bottles, and VHS tapes. At Lightning Fast, you're family™.

A COP FROM THE FUTURE OF SPACE
I THINK THESE VHS TAPES ARE HAUNTED DUDE
THE COLD RUSHES IN
A murmur of something - signal, voice, mechanical or electronic maybe, music, repeating - lifts above the static, just for a moment. Pause. Turn. Try again, you can find it. Just try again.

May/June Progress!
First up: 4000 wishlists! Thank you to everyone following this game. I will kiss you on the mouth, each, personally, 4 times. There's a subreddit now, r/supervhs. Steam is terrible at notifications, so the best place to follow updates or ask Q's is there or on twitter for now. I'll still do roundups like this on Steam though. I will have an important announcement for SVHS soon! Not a release date sorry, but it has lots of pros and 1 con. Stay tuned. New Stuff: Here's a VCR that shoots VHS tapes and the tapes are gravity detonators: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43798884/c9c5166e5b052650362e5d10419a42aa5db60ea3.gif boom {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43798884/ec41df2ada0a5ee1b10f23bf828a7a42d1a985fb.gif fluttering tape trails {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43798884/9c66dcc3a7b76d6e59b201c1e98d8d869e8dede1.jpgin-game render I've finally made the correct Re:View set (plus the trivia podiums!), which meant I had to come up with a way of changing sets. August/September Updates!
Inventory System There's now a basic inventory system functional in-game. Very old school and nothing complex - there's a few items you'll collect and need along the way so these are stored and can be recalled/used whenever you need them. Reworked Exterior Snow Environment The snow environment outside the warehouse was previously just a flat plane and skybox. it's now a full snow mountain landscape, with 5 square kilometers (3 miles) of gentle ridges and hills. Same vibe, just not as terribly executed. Who knows whats out there! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43798884/f6108dcd2eb012a1e0f4467f5990dab52cc65f37.jpgnew landscape in-editor (WIP) {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43798884/625a73ae00a7e66bb0d948bd97d473bd0ace84c3.jpgrendered in game, warehouse circled in red Plinketto Board Upgrades The tapes on the Plinketto board can now be easily swapped with any others you find - just aim at an empty spot while holding a tape and press drop to smoothly glide it into place. Additionally, when you drop the ball the UI tells you what tape you landed on. No more needing to jump back down to see. I also fixed the music audio bug that would randomly occur when dropping the ball. Speaking of picking up stuff - all items now smoothly teleport to the player instead of instantly snapping into place. Feels better. New Props & Items! JVC GR-C1 Camcorder Can't have a VHS mode without a VHS camera. While researching this camera I found examples of its onscreen typeface in the manual, so I recreated a version which you can download here. Of course this is also the in-game font used for the camera display. This is a hyper-faithful recreation of the real thing, famous for appearing in Back to the Future. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43798884/e40a6550b35846eb2a0ec596a1f3022c72f4602d.jpgcamera in game ACR FA-5 Flashlight These flashlights were used by NASA astronauts during the Apollo era. The warehouse is old and sometimes the lights go out, so you'll be glad you have one. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43798884/377c4e0516604a25ceac86...Read full article on Community Announcements (reaction105)
