Explore Winnie's Hole and control a virus navigating his mind and body. Mutate cells, build combos, and fight through roguelite challenges with a darkly charming twist.

About this game

Play as a virus in Winnie's body.

Capture cells to grow mutations and learn new actions.

Refine his primitive form, gain powerful passive effects and adapt for survival.

Explore randomly generated worlds by placing Virus blocks to spread through the body of your host.

Discover new cells and make gut decisions to direct the adventure.

Collect resources and unlock new abilities.

Evolve and modify your virus blocks to create more powerful combinations in battle.

Activate the brain of your host in dynamic turn-based battles, playing multiple actions in a single move.

Each turn, your actions are dealt randomly to the Brain board. Place your block shapes strategically to activate powerful combinations. Adapt as you discover the limitations of your host... and how to overcome them.

Push the bounds of what your host can be. Together we survive.

  • Evolve with each run - Unlock new Perks, Mutations and Virus Strains.

  • Mutate your host as a symbiotic virus.

  • Bodybuilding in the worst way.

  • A storybook narrative which reimagines Winnie in a world of dark science.

  • A fresh take on exploration, replacing the typical roguelite node map with strategic, turn-based building using a set of tetromino-like virus blocks which you can evolve and reshape.

  • Dynamic battle system where each turn is an action combo for fast-paced gameplay.

  • Holesome horror comedy with gritty art inspired by old school Nickelodeon and Brothers' Grimm fairytales.

    BETA update v0.9.15bf2

ChangelogTranslationsRussian, French, German and Polish translations are all in now.Virus Strain rebalancingFinally had a chance to audit all the current Virus Strains and give them more testing. We've now aligned strains (excluding Godly) to start with the same amount of block tiles across the starter block shapes. I found the progression to be too quick in many strains so we've also pared back the amount of block modification in the maps.In doing this I've also tried to make the block and brain shapes more interesting. A few will likely get more iteration but here's an example I think is interesting. Stunlock now has disjointed blocks which can fit together in different combinations to fill a + shaped brain. BalanceAction Upgrade changes: Removed overcomplicated movement actions which had multiple effects, connected the upgrade trees of many Actions missing pathwaysAdded some new Actions to fill gapsChanged Perk rarities: Durable and Unbreakable up to Epic, Blood Splatter down to CommonConfrontation changed to only give self and closest enemy Counter. BETA update v0.9.12b

ChangelogStreamlining combat and rewards reworkWith this update we've been working on an overhaul to how resources tie into rewards and the rewards you get from combat. Our big goals here are to make the game flow faster so you're spending less time in UIs and more time exploring and battling, while also making it easier to understand how resources affect rarity.Resources now affect the rarity/power of Exits instead of Combat RewardsResources collected in each depth will increase the rarity of the next Exit Event.eg. If the exit will give you a Mutation, collecting more resources will increase the rarity. This means you can see exactly how many resources you need for the next rarity tier while exploring a level. Previously it would also collect resources from enemies, but you wouldn't know ahead of time how many resources enemies would have, so couldn't plan for it.Combat rewards are now set per encountereg. Currently, the Chicken family will always give a common Perk, Ibis will always give an upgrade, Elites will always give an epic Perk.Encounters are auto-selected except for Elites at branching pathsTo speed up the game flow and reduce overwhelm we've decided to randomise the encounters each run. This means you don't need to spend time comparing details for regular encounters. It was getting to the point where we had so much information on the encounter screen that just wasn't a very interesting choice, and incentivised a boring way to play where people pick the same encounters over and over.Branching Upgrades in CollectionThe Mutation page in the Collection is now organised by upgrade level and rarity, and displays what Actions will upgrade from and into. We've also included filters to hide/show Actions only available in the Shops, which cannot be upgraded. New Perks, Actions and EncountersWe've also added a bunch of new Actions, Perks and rebalanced some encounters.Bug Fixes Fixed some instances where exhaust was not removed after combat Fix Perks not appearing to ...
