0.What is the state of the game? -> -> -> ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ^ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ "We're here" 1.What's the difference between "Playtest" and "Demo"? "Playtest" branch is the one that's currently in development. It will get updates/mantainance/resets. "Demo" is an earlier version of the game, think of it an prototype. It is not mantained nor updated. 2.Why can't I choose a server? The servers are not official during develment. Meaning there is no choosing server. 3.My game crash on launch. We use Unreal Engine 5 and its minimal system requirement. The game doesn't stress the GPU/CPU beyond the minimal requirement. But we do have higher graphic through in game settings. 4.I cannot log in with Google. Please inform the service team through discord to see if the server is down. Provide extra detail if you can. 5.Why can't I just use Steam account to log in? There is a plan to replace Google account with Steam account. But for developement purpose we are using Google account for the log in process for now. 6.Does this game come out on platforms other than PC?(Switch or mobile...) Not until the game is fully developed. Currently there won't be extra resources to port the game to other platforms. 7.My game crashes while entering Sky Island? Some crashes are caused by the mismatch versions of the map due to constent development. We suggest try verifying game file through steam. Right click Utopia No.8 in Steam library -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of beta files If you still experience crashes. Please inform us through Discord or Steam community with your computer spec, mainly CPU and RAM size. 8.How do I play and where do I start? As of now, the majority of content is on the Sky Island. There you gather trees/mines "daily" and do farming/ranching/fishing. Some Npcs on island act as shop or quests turn in. The goal is to upgrade island structures level. Version 1.0.7 Update – Economic Revamp ▼ Important Note! With the economic system revamp, player characters have been wiped. Please make new character to experience the new economic system. ▼ New Content 1. New furniture type “Processor” where you can make new items from raw materials. With different type of processors and recipes, like wood to planks, ore to metal ingots. 2. New way of getting fish with “Fish Cage.” Players can access the menu through fish information robot near fishing spots. 3. NPC merchant at Sci-fi City now sells Blueprints for clothing and furniture. 4. New personal info tab on the top left player icon. One can leave a message and access closet features. You can also check on other player’s info tab by clicking on others! 5. New animals for ranch! Level your island star to lv4 and get them as new rewards! 6. Mailbox feature, where players receive official messages and rewards in the future. 7. Broadcast feature, where players receive notification from server events.
