Delve into medieval fantasy as a blacksmith who forges armor and weapons while exploring mines and battling threats. Your choices shape the success of a legion cohort in this unique blend of simulation and role-playing.

About this game

Features

  • Follow a fantasy smithing process from mining to rune-crafting, with every step affecting the appearance, quality, damage, and value of your weapons.
  • Explore a vast abandoned mine loaded with materials, enemies, and lore.
  • Drive the progress of the cohort (and game) by supplying weapons for scouting and battle.
  • Sell weapons to adventurers by matching your weapons to discovered locations and adventurer class.
  • Navigate the world in first person.

Forge the weapons you need

Enjoy the process of crafting mighty weapons with your own two hands. Smelting, forging, assembling, grinding, and rune-carving will all determine who will buy them, what they're worth, and what they're capable of slaying.

Use your weapons, don't just sell them

Fight your way through excavations overrun by enemies, and battle the evil that turned a mining province into the Blightlands. Strafe, combo, block, always remembering you need the right weapon for the job.

Design weapons from daggers to war-hammers

Choose from 8 classes of weapon, with thousands of possible variations of shape alone. Different materials alter durability and damage, and alloys can be made from any mined metal. Craft smaller scouting weapons to allow the legion to discover new locations, or larger weapons to enable the cohort to progress through the Blightlands.

Explore and gather

Seek out and find the materials you need in a vast abandoned mine. Use your trusty cart to store your ore, tools, weapons, and light as you navigate through the twisting tunnels.

Live life in the legion camp

Interact with the cohort, your fellow shop-keepers, and adventurers as you conduct your business in the civilian area of the camp. Trade with the cutler and quartermaster, gather rumors or seek healing at the tavern, and track your progress at the Banner Office.

    Patch v1.4.18

Patch v1.4.18 Fixes Corrected a bug that would cause players to lock at the quartermaster if they completed the "Stronger Stuff" Quest while the "Gar-Ad" Glory quest was open in their quest log. Big thanks to Nashmi Shah for the super-clear video on Discord. I cannot stress enough how much quicker it is to find and fix problems with a video. Changes Moved the scrap bin inside the smithy. Anything in there when you exit the game is gone for good. You can now turn pages in the Manual by pressing Q and E.

Patch v1.4.17 Changes Increased ambient lighting, removed some dynamic lights form the camp. Reduced the distance at which objects will load when traversing the mine. These should provide a small increase in performance. Fixes Removed a bug that would cause you to stick on the anvil if you attempted to leave while focused on the ingot.

    Patch v1.4.16

Patch v1.4.16 Fixes Removed a bug that would cause customers to leave without giving rewards for custom orders if more than one custom quest was active at a time. Placed an NPC no go area in the smithy work zone, and the left hand side of the tent entry where they would occasionally try to climb the fabric. Adjusted some text formatting.

    Patch v1.4.15

Patch v1.4.15 Changes You can now see custom order requirements while dealing with the cutler. You can now use the enter key to load/sell/transfer from the player in the inventory screen. A reward screen will now display the amount of gold customers have paid you for custom orders, in addition to any alloy recipes they give you. Fixes I finally worked out why some male heads would spawn with flat skin colored heads, eyes included, and fixed it. The ranger will now have matching skin tone on hands and head. Fixed a bug that would occasionally cause customers to stop spawning after loading the game.

    Patch v1.4.14

Patch v1.4.14 Trial Changes These change the look and feel of the game somewhat - please throw me some feedback if you find them unpleasant and I'll roll them back. The windowed window now has a border, allowing it to be easily dragged around the screen. I've added a different type of ambient light, which makes the mine just light enough to see without the lantern. Unfortunately it doesn't work on the main decline, but once you're into the first cave, and at night in the village, you should notice the difference. Please let me know if you find it unpleasant. QoL Changes You can now cap your frame rate to 30, 60, or 120 frames per second in the settings menu. The default setting remains unlimited.
