  Welcome to the beating heart of power, where decisions change the fortunes of companies and laws shape economic destiny. In the Policy section of Hedge Fund Tycoon, you hold the reins of government, facing the complex world of politics and strategic alliances. Parties In the game, there are four types of parties, each with a unique political philosophy. Each party has a preference for a certain type of company, giving it an advantage over the others. The types of parties present are: Right: it is for the abatement of taxes and public spending. It therefore favours companies that do not have the possibility to win contracts and companies that operate in those sectors affected by specific taxes (car tax for the automotive). Left: Supports increased public spending and taxes to fuel welfare policies. It mainly favours companies dependent on public procurement (defence, infrastructure,...) Center: its policies are placed halfway between those of the right and the left, public expenditure and taxes at medium levels. Technical or military: this type of party comes to power only in exceptional cases such as coups d'etat or financial default. Given the emergency situation these parties are facing, they will disadvantage all kinds of companies. They will raise taxes and minimise public procurement. Taxes, Laws and Corruption Each nation has taxes and laws that affect the profitability of companies operating in the country. Taxes: Corporate tax: applies to all sectors Car tax: applies to the automotive sector Internet tax: applies to the Media and Internet service sectors Carbon tax: applies to the Oil & Drilling and Airlines sectors Laws: Martial law: if active, elections are no longer called Corruption: Each Hedge Fund will have the opportunity to bribe the government to change the value of a tax or law.   Hi aspiring greedy capitalists, as promised, here is a deepening of the dynamics of Hedge Fund Tycoon. In this new simulator, players will have the opportunity to trade a wide range of financial products, including: 1. Stock shares: You will be able to invest in shares in listed companies. If applicable, the shares are entitled to a quarterly dividend; the share paid to the shareholders is decided by the CEO or the control fund. Holding at least 20% of the share capital and if the fund turns out to be the majority shareholder you will have the opportunity to manage and control the company. 2. Corporate bonds: Bonds are a safer alternative to shares. Bonds are debt securities at the maturity of which the nominal value invested and the regular interest will be obtained throughout the holding period. The coupon is quarterly. 3. Government bonds: You can invest in government bonds, giving you a safe choice for managing your portfolio. The coupon is variable and depends on the rating, the duration can be 10 or 20 years. 4. Commodities: You will have the opportunity to trade commodities such as oil, gold and other physical goods, as a result of price fluctuations on the commodity market. No periodic returns accumulate. 5. Options: You can experiment with advanced trading strategies using options, both for hedging and for speculation. Options are financial derivatives that give the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell a particular share at a predetermined price within a specified maturity date. It is possible to hold a maximum of 10% of the share capital. 6. Short selling: is a trading strategy in which an investor sells a security that he does not actually own at the time of sale. The objective is to profit from the previewed decrease of the price of the stock in the time. You can short out 20% of a company’s share capital.
