Update 62.28 - Card design overlays
- Added "Add visibility condition" option to card design nodes This allows you to specify an ability on a design node (image, text, layout etc.), then that node is only shown when a card has that ability. There is a visibility checkbox for debugging, it has no effect in game.Read full article on Community Announcements (Kim)Patch NotesOfficial
Status on the update to Godot
It’s been a long time since the last update, sorry about that. Here’s some screenshots of what I’ve been working on: Main menu will show trending mods at the bottom and players can scroll down to see more. (Menu buttons will change)Collection. (layout hasn't changed)Card editor.Design editor.Rules editor.Big new features and changes in the godot version.UI overhaul.A mod.io account will no longer be needed to play/download mods, players still have to accept terms, and mod publishing still needs an account. This removes a big barrier for players to play mods as login is no longer needed.Godot enables support for more image types: svg, bmp, jpg, tga, webp. Embedding images in text. And I removed the image size limit.Lots of many more smaller quality of life features. I.e. Reorder/move abilities, challenges and design nodes with drag & drop. And now, let's be real. The update will not come out this year. Yeah, it was naive of me to think I could convert years of work into a new engine in a few months, and I made it worse by adding more features. Progress was fast at first, then became slower and slower. I think I'm slowly burning myself out by working on the same thing over and over without releasing anything, so I’m going to take a Christmas break and try to reset a bit. This project initially started because I wanted to try releasing a small CCG and see how it goes, but it evolved into a kind of card game platform/simulator/sandbox. That is much more exciting, but on the other hand, the scope changed into a gigantic project without really thinking it through properly.I cannot keep this as my main focus without it being sustainable, you need money to live. And realistically the update is probably still months away, even after the update, I still think it needs a lot of polish before it will be in a state where it could become more sustainable.Next year I'm going to try having multiple projects I can switch between, so I will work on both Cardeneer and a few smaller games...Read full article on Community Announcements (Kim)Patch NotesOfficial

Update 62.27 - Restore health upgrade
Game now tracks max health from buffs and debuffs. Added rule under abilities: Restore uses max health. Added ability effect: Summon to the enemy's field X . Fix abilites being in the wrong files. Fix issue where an aura could give an error. Just a small update while you wait. Some bugs have accumulated, but they are mostly issues with the unity version, so I would rather work on getting the update out as fast as possible rather than work on the old version. Thank you for being patient with me. I was recently asked on the Discord when the Godot update will come out, I will add my reply here: That is a good question. All my estimations have been wrong, so I don't think I dare say when, but I think It's safe to say this year. The reason it's taking so long is that most of the UI code had to be rewritten, the game is mostly UI and it has it's roots in everything. I'm also taking extra time improving/refactoring a lot of the old code and adding a few extra features.Read full article on Community Announcements (Kim)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 62.26 - Small publish fix
Fix issue where publish only showed the login button. Added rule Health counts as attack. Godot is still weeks away, I really underestimated how much time it would take to switch.Read full article on Community Announcements (Kim)
