Manage a bustling medieval shop selling potions and armor in Fantasy Shop. Expand your business, set prices, and compete against thieves while growing into the city's top merchant.

About this game

Fantasy Shop is a medieval shop management game where you build a trading empire and defend it.

Order goods, set your own prices, decorate your shop, and serve the customers of a living city. Just don't be surprised when a thief walks out with your best sword.

Run Your Shop

Order stock from the market and wait for the caravan to arrive.

Set the price of every item yourself. Greed costs you customers, generosity costs you gold.

Stock your shelves, keep the floor clean, and watch the coins come in.

Build Your Empire

Start your journey from a humble shop to the most renowned trading hub in the city!

Knock down walls, expand into new rooms, and fill your displays with shelves and counters.

Unlock rare, epic and legendary goods as your skills grow. Each upgrade means more customers and more valuable stock.

Not Everyone Is a Customer

Thieves blend in with the crowd. Caravans get raided on the road. And the King always wants his taxes.

Cast spells, set up automated guard turrets, or grab a shoplifter with telekinesis and throw them out the door.

Just be careful. The city notices how you treat people.

Gold, Debt and Consequence

Take a loan from the bank to fund your expansion. Invest your profits and earn interest.

Buy property across the city for passive income and tax breaks.

But miss a payment, and word gets around. Your reputation falls, and so does your customer count.

A Living World

A fully dynamic sky moves from sunny mornings to stormy nights.

Streets fill with townsfolk going about their day, lanterns light up at dusk, and every day ends with a night's sleep before you open your doors again.

    Big Customer Update (V0.16.2)

Big Customer Update Hey shopkeepers! This time we rebuilt the customer system from the ground up. Before, the more goods you put out, the more you sold, and nearly all your income came from potions. Now it matters who walks into your shop, when they walk in, and what you do with them. In short The day has a rhythm now: the noon crowd and closing bell are busy, the hours between are quiet Every customer has their own purse, mood and patience You can haggle with a customer who hesitates You can sell straight from your bag to anyone out on the street A single customer can buy more than one thing per visit Customers now carry what they've bought in their hands You can see what customers came looking for but didn't find Your reputation decides how many customers you get, not your shelf count Decoration finally does something: it decides who walks in Expensive goods can genuinely be sold for the first time Killing an innocent now carries a lasting cost New skill: Bulk Selling The rhythm of the day Customer flow used to be a flat trickle. There was no difference between nine in the morning and seven in the evening, and you spent the whole day waiting for someone to wander in. Now there are two peaks: the noon crowd and the closing bell. There's a dead hour between them. The quietest moment of the morning and the evening peak are about three times apart, and you're told when the traffic shifts. That turns the quiet hours into something other than empty time: they're set aside for market runs and building work. The busy hours are when you need to be behind your counter. Total daily traffic stayed almost the same, it just spread out. The customer as a person Every customer arrives with their own purse, mood and patience. Some are generous, some are tight-fisted. A customer used to be a figure that rolled a die and either bought or didn't. Now there's someone standing in front of you. Hesitant customers and haggling A customer who found your price too high used to walk out in ...

    Patch Notes - v0.14.3

Patch Notes Hey shopkeepers! A few hotfixes today, all of them straight from your reports. Fixes Customers clipping into and pushing each other has been largely fixed. Nobody shoves anyone anymore, we put a special spell on them for that. We also had a word with them about not piling in from the same spot. Of course there will always be a few who ignore a warning, so we are currently dealing with the townsfolk one by one. A proper update on this is on the way. The Sentry Turret sometimes did not visually hit the thief. Your item came back, but it looked like the thief got away with it. Fixed, the turret does not miss a single shot now. Changes and Improvements Added toggles for the screen shake while walking, running and being drunk. The default values have been lowered as well. Plenty of you warned us about this, so now you can turn it off completely, play with the new milder version, or crank it up if that is your thing. Balancing We tuned the customer rush at opening a few days ago, but it went a bit too far and the Merchant Guild was not happy with us. We shortened the duration and put a cap on how many customers come in. Do not worry, they will still rush in, just in a more controlled way. Keep the reports coming, we read all of them. Now get back behind that counter!

Quests, Mailbox and Katra - v0.13.9

Patch Notes Hey shopkeepers! We went a little heavy this time and turned up with a properly packed update. Quests, a mailbox, inventory sorting and a pile of fixes... things are heating up in Katra. New Stuff A quest system has been added. For now it only covers Merchant Guild quests. If you are a new shopkeeper, quests will reach you automatically and give you a solid head start. But we did not forget the veterans either: any quest you have already met the requirements for is handed in automatically. We could not let all that work go unrewarded. A mailbox system has been added. Both quests and the systems coming later will use your mailbox as the line of communication between you and Katra. Inventory sorting has been added. You can now arrange your items in whatever order you like. Repeat last order has been added. If you keep placing the same order over and over, you no longer have to do it by hand every time. You barely knew when you had an outstanding loan. Our banker now leaves a message in your mailbox in Katra. Pay your loans on time, word travels fast around here. The screen now shows when the latest updates went out. We push updates pretty often and it was getting hard to keep track, so we put it there too. About Katra Yes, there is a bit more detail in the game now: we are in the city of Katra. New shopkeepers are learning this as they go, and we did not want to bore the veterans with it, so our apologies. Maybe the old shopkeepers will pick it up in time as well. Fixes Repeatedly placing an item and picking it right back up left it magically floating in mid air. That particular spell of ours is gone now, the issue is fixed. With a steering wheel or a controller plugged in, your character would walk off on their own and UI lists would scroll down by themselves. That is sorted out too. Killing a thief gave you no details at all. It now clearly states which item went where. Some players thought their items were lost for good, but they should have been return...

    Patch Notes - v0.11.9

Patch Notes Hey shopkeepers! Small but useful patch coming your way. Fixes Spells were landing slightly to the right instead of right where the crosshair was pointing. They now go exactly where you are looking. Changes and Improvements Added a link to our Discord channel right in the main menu. Reaching us, reporting issues or dropping suggestions is much easier now. The shop report now shows your real profit, not just net earnings. Net, tax and profit are all listed separately. Keep the reports and suggestions coming, we read all of them. Now get back behind that counter!

    Patch Notes - v0.11.5

Patch Notes Hey shopkeepers! It is only day two and we are not stepping away from the counter. A bunch of what you reported is already fixed, so here is today's package. New Stuff The key binding system got a full rework, both visually and functionally. You can now bind any key to any action. Before this you could not bind sprint to a mouse button, for example, and that limit is gone now. The level cap has been removed. Level up as much as you want. A new skill branch has been added. It speeds you up while placing items with the mouse held down: level 1 costs 1 skill point for +100%, level 2 costs 2 points for +200%, level 3 costs 4 points for +300%. Skills and systems for automatic placement are coming later, and this branch is here to stay. While buying products, you can now Shift + left click the increase button to go up by 10 at a time. Bulk buying is much faster now. Steam Cloud is now active! Your saves are stored on Steam Cloud and sync across your devices. Fixes Fixed the broom disappearing for good when you went to sleep and quit the game while holding it. Fixed the tutorial never showing up again if you quit halfway through it. It now picks up right where you left off. Changes and Improvements Customers took way too long to show up at the start of the day. They now arrive 100% faster during the first 30 seconds, practically racing each other to buy your stuff. We also had a word with them about walking in from the far castle entrances, so they now only come from the ones closest to you. They were keeping you waiting for no reason, and that sluggish start of the day should be sorted out now. The skill interface has been improved. Required points are now clearly visible, upgradeable skills show their level without hovering, and the missing icons have been filled in. Keep the reports and suggestions coming, we read all of them and, as you can see, we write all of them down. Now get back behind that counter!
