Action, Indie, Casual · 2023 · More free games
Join rebels and activists in Project Chaos, a manic multiplayer first-person shooter where your goal is to incite change through sheer mayhem. Released in 2023 by 4A50 Studios, this casual action game sets you in the heart of 2098's conflict.
About this game

Based in claustrophobic small maps, with reactive and fast paced movement, PROJECT CHAOS boasts a lack of lengthy death timers, transporting you back into the fight instantly, keeping the momentum of the game rolling.
Deaths and kills are not recorded and displayed, in favour of a score based system, where bonuses and also detriments can increase or decrease the score. With the goal of the game to obtain the highest score as either a team or a solo player.

Jump into chaotic battles with Project Chaos signature mode: Chaos. Where with each life you spawn with a completely different loadout. Use the constant changes to learn new weapons, experiment with different playstyles or just enjoy the bonkers mess the gamemode produces.
Or for the more classic players, jump into the normal Team Death Match and Free For All gamemodes, where you can use your pre-set loadout in an attempt to cause as much chaos as physically possible.

You can only cause so much chaos with a stick, so Project Chaos only the provides the most powerful weapons for players to wield.
With options like:
- Smart Rocket Launchers,
- .50 Cal Snipers,
- Miniguns,
- Lightning SMG’s,
- Full Auto Incendiary Shotguns,
- and much more make up the in game arsenal.

Servers Shutting Down
I want to start this post off by saying Thank You. Project Chaos was created as my final university project, and to see the numbers of people who have wishlisted, downloaded and viewed the game is beyond what I could have expected. Whilst this is probably as it's free, it’s still a great sight to see and to no longer sit at the top of the leader board means people enjoyed the game to play enough off it. However, everything good must eventually come to an end. Server costs are expensive and I had always planned to shut them down once the year long contract came to an end. As I had planned for this, the game can function without my servers via the use of the direct connect system and users can host their own servers via the download in the tools section of a users Steam library. How To Host Your Own Server Hosting your own server is really simple, you can download the server and its supporting files from the tools section of your Steam library (Note: The server is a Linux only build). Inside the servers folder is a config file that allows you to edit the servers settings, like the port it uses as well as game settings such as the maps and gamemodes. The server can be run on almost any Linux based hardware, even newer Raspberry Pis. Then in game, you can enter the servers PUBLIC IP, and PORT into the direct connect section and load into the lobby that way.Read full article on Community Announcements (J.P)AnnouncementsOfficial
