About this game

Do you enjoy playing around with the physics in games? Then this is the game for you. Stack Masters is built around exploring that concept in a competitive way. Including a built in level editor and Steam Workshop support, the game offers a never ending supply of physics sandbox gameplay to explore.
Compete to build crazy structures in order to climb the leaderboards or simply work your way through over 100 levels to beat the campaign.

A low price was always the plan but that does not mean low quality.
We want you to be able to buy the game whenever you want, without needing to wait for a sale, or to grab a bunch of copies and share them with friends so you can all compete for the top spot on the leaderboards.
However you choose to play the game, we want you to play the game, and didn't want price to ever be an issue.
Oh, and don't worry, there are no microtransations either.

Nope, far from it. The game is split into different categories each exploring a different game mechanic or theme.
You'll start with the simplest of towers, but you'll soon be dealing with drop zones, time manipulation, logic puzzles, gravity sliders, multi-zones, pivot blocks, ungrabbable blocks, interlocking blocks, bridges, weights and even a level built to play like a pachinko machine.
There are over one hundred levels already and we've only just begun to scratch the surface of what's possible.
Better yet, everyone can explore those possibilities with an in-game level editor. See below for details.

Play together with children to teach them the basics of physics, or use your engineering degree to push things to the extreme.
Every category contains a selection of levels, from easy to hard, to allow everyone to explore the whole game.

You only need to beat one or two levels in each category to unlock the next, which allows players from all skill levels to easily progress through the game and explore the different themes and game mechanics.
Most levels are designed to be solvable in anything from five to thirty minutes but if you want to compete for the best possible scores you can expect to spend hours on each level in order to find the ultimate solution.

Each level can have up to three leaderboards, allowing you to compete with your Steam friends or push yourself towards a world record for ultimate glory.

Every level was built using the game's super easy to use level editor. A single click of a button can allow you to begin editing the level you are currently playing or to start a brand new one from scratch.
Choose an arena, choose a location, choose from hundreds of block shapes, drag and drop them wherever you like, and start playing your creation instantly right there in the editor. A couple of clicks and you've added a new goal zone. A couple of drags and you resized and moved it to the perfect position.
Want a new wall here or there? No problem. Click click.
Want a drop zone here, or to change a block to a different type? No problem. Click click.
Once done, you can share your levels instantly via the Steam Workshop.

Two clicks is all it takes to upload your creations, and one click to download each new community created level you want to play. It couldn't be easier.

Have you got what it takes to become the next Stack Master?

What's Next
Thank you! Thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday with our little (but potentially major) problem of the Steam algorithm not having enough information about you, the players, to offer it the expected launch traffic. The good news is that the problem is now resolved and views to the Stack Masters store page have increased massively. Thanks again. I was feeling hopeless there for while and you guys dragged the game back onto the tracks and we are now full steam ahead once again, no pun intended. I have to admit that I genuinely have a tear in my eye as I write this. Maybe I'm a tad too emotional but hey, this game has been my life and passion for a long time and to see it potentially die without getting a fair chance was heartbreaking. So, what happens next? I shared yesterday that Stack Masters was an experiment in making a ridiculously polished and accessible game and then selling it at an equally ridiculously low price. Why? Because, as a solo developer, time is so precious that spending huge amounts of time on pre-release marketing is not really financially viable in most cases. It can take as long to do the marketing as it takes to make the game. 95% of indie games fail to turn a profit, and so we have to try out new ideas sometimes to break through. Also, why charge you guys double or even triple for a game, to cover the marketing time and expenses, if there is a possible alternative? For those that don't already know me, Stack Masters is my third major Steam release. My first two games were NeonXSZ and Space Bob vs. The Replicons, so this is not my first rodeo. Whether I'm an idiot or not is debatable, but I'm fairly confident that I'm not a complete idiot. The popular consensus from those in the know would likely be to tell me that my experiment is doomed to failure, but the only people who can actually determine whether that is true or not is you, the players. It's now really all up to you guys. I can do my best over the coming weeks and months to get Yo...Read full article on Community Announcements (Space Bob (Paul))Patch NotesOfficial

Stack Masters Has Liftoff!
It's time. The 1.0 build of Stack Masters is officially live and all the leaderboards have been wiped. New challengers have arrived. Who will claim and hold the new world records? How To Get Your Levels Added To The Main Campaign: First, welcome to all the new challengers. Stack Masters is all about community involvement both now and in the future. Your first step will likely be to work your way through the main campaign and add your name to as many leaderboards as possible, but many of you will also enjoy creating new levels with the live in-game level editor. The most popular levels will then be considered for inclusion into the main campaign over the coming weeks. As you progress through the game you will unlock new level categories including the Community Selection categories. There are currently three of these, and the first two already have a selection of levels made by the beta test community, but there's room for plenty more. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43848455/e86f86d4ddfe390eb6ab1d1facd9c8d2e0d378a1.png If making levels isn't your thing, don't forget to explore and download what everyone else is making. You can access and play levels on the Steam Workshop via the Custom Levels section of the Main Menu but be warned that Workshop levels may contain spoilers for features and game mechanics that you haven't yet unlocked in the campaign. Oh, and don't forget to give a thumbs up to the Workshop levels you enjoy. Thanks To All The Beta Testers Thanks so much to the everyone who played a part in the alpha and beta testing! Your help was invaluable. The game wouldn't be what it is today without you guys. Thanks for your tireless help, playtesting streams, suggestions, and never ending support and encouragement. I hope the game is as successful as you expect it to be. ❤Read full article on Community Announcements (Space Bob (Paul))
