About this game

Explore procedurally generated Backrooms levels mixed with handcrafted areas. Each expedition can lead to different corridors, offices, hostile zones, safe rooms, and decayed spaces.

Some parts are built by hand for story moments, puzzles, scripted events, and chase sequences.

The Backrooms are not always loud or dangerous. Sometimes the worst part is finding a room that feels safe, but shouldn’t be there.

High-tech survival inside forgotten Backrooms spaces.

Wear neon-lit hazmat suits, use tools like the MEC container, holographic tablet, and scanners, and move through decayed levels where advanced gear feels strangely out of place.

Customize your suit with colours, decals, and patterns so your team stands out in the dark.

Your base inside the Backrooms, where the Crew rests, works, and prepares for the next expedition.

Bring back objects from the levels, recycle them into resources, craft tools, and unlock new recipes through exploration and Outpost tasks.

The Outpost is not just a menu. The Crew has routines, responsibilities, and stories, and keeping yourself rested can affect how well you survive outside.

Explore the Backrooms with friends, but stay close. With proximity chat, distance can turn teamwork into silence.

Scavenge, heal, survive, and bring resources back to the Outpost together.

Between the horror, customize your suit, use emotes, mess with friends, adopt cats, and create your own co-op moments.

Every expedition tests more than your courage. Hunger, thirst, stamina, and limited light all affect how far you can push into the Backrooms.

Manage food, water, batteries, and tools carefully. Running out of supplies can make escape much harder.

What you bring back matters too. Scavenged resources can support both your survival and the Outpost.

Infinitum follows Izaak Finnley’s story, with dialogue, choices, and consequences that affect how events unfold.

In multiplayer, everyone experiences the story from Izaak’s perspective. When major decisions appear, players vote, and the majority choice decides the outcome.

Who you support, what you sacrifice, and how you treat the Crew can change the story, resources, dialogue, and who survives.

Not every entity behaves the same. Some hunt, some watch, and some only react under specific conditions.

Learn how each encounter works, adapt during expeditions, and stay alert when the Backrooms feel too quiet.

Scripted chase sequences create intense moments, while procedural encounters keep exploration unpredictable.

LEVEL 150: THE INFINITE GARDEN | Exploration Mode Update Out Now!

It has been a while since our previous game update! The main reason is that we are currently in the middle of remaking the Outpost and reintroducing multiplayer, with crossplay being developed first between Steam and Epic Games and planned for consoles later on. In the meantime, we have also been working on several levels and other parts of the game. Today, we’re finally ready to share a small part of what we’ve been building!A new update is now available for the current playtest version of Infinitum, introducing a new Exploration Mode level, updated character suit models, improvements to our modular entity jumpscare system, quality-of-life changes, and various bug fixes. The centerpiece of this update is Level 150: The Infinite Garden:LEVEL 150: THE INFINITE GARDEN"High above the clouds lies a garden where flowers grow between empty corridors, enclosed courtyards, and forgotten structures."The Infinite Garden is a new handcrafted Exploration Mode level focused on atmosphere and discovery. Depending on how thoroughly you choose to explore it, the level adds approximately 10–20 minutes of new playable content to the current playtest build. Unlike Infinitum’s main Story Mode levels, Exploration Mode offers smaller, self-contained environments that allow players to experience different parts of the Backrooms outside the main campaign.Exploration Mode does not feature entities. The focus is entirely on exploring each environment, discovering its different areas, and experiencing its atmosphere. To complete the level, players must locate three Tarot cards and place them at the Celestial Door before it can be opened. The Tarot cards required to complete The Infinite Garden are:The EmpressThree of CupsAce of PentaclesEach of these cards was hand-drawn by our environmental artist, Sara. Even for smaller details like these, we prefer creating our artwork ourselves rather than relying on AI. We believe much of a game’s magic lives in the small details, and we want every part o...

    Infinitum 2025 Updates and Plans

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44264256/020fb0c515d8511e0423af2e79d45880f69e960a.png Hello everyone, I know it's been a while since the last update, but I am here to assure everyone that things have been moving faster than ever towards the better ending. After the last free limited time demo and your feedback we have decided to take two steps back, add more content and remake some of the things done wrong. For this we needed to get a team, but without funding that seemed impossible, which is why we decided to partner with an investor that could fund that, and hire 3 more people to help us with things related to management, animation and development. Today I would like to announce that we officially achieved that, and the work will start full time for everyone with the first month of the next year. We decided to start after the holidays are over so we can fully focus on developing the game efficiently, during this month we will also finish the planning and organizing we have left so we can smoothly move starting January. Because of all of this we have also just released a small patch with the following changes: Halloween props have been removed (finally). Dialogue System has been updated to not use the mouse cursor at all, you can now use the scroll wheel to navigate it, which will also help when we port the game for consoles. Added keys info inside of the dialogue system to be more beginner friendly. Added a few more changeable keybinds and we have also made a category system for those. Small UI changes, especially when hovering an interactable object. Please note many of the current bugs have not been fixed because we plan on redoing a lot of the things inside of the game, which include but are not limited to: Building and Crafting, Interaction, Dialogue, Flashlight and Batteries System as well as rebuilding some of the areas (merging the bunker and the Outpost into only one area to reduce confusion, the Outpost area will also be remade). Since now we have a bigger team I woul...
