It only happens occasionally, and I’m still investigating the issue.Let's see where this journey takes us,pixlerinRead full article on Community Announcements (pixlerin)AnnouncementsOfficial
The Lost Hotel successfully funded on Kickstarter!
I am absolutely blown away. The Kickstarter campaign for The Lost Hotel has officially come to an end, and thanks to the incredible backer support, it reached over 246% of the initial funding goal! 🚀To everyone who backed the project, shared the news, played the Steam demo, or cheered from the sidelines: Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This journey has been surreal, and seeing the project get selected as a Kickstarter "Project We Love" was the ultimate cherry on top.(I also got rejected by a publisher but nevermind, lol)What's newMusic and SoundSome incredibly talented people have discovered my project and will be working on the game's music and sound... I can't wait!RomanceI can now officially confirm that The Lost Hotel will feature Romance Options, with hotel guests, staff and crew members. Yes, you get to find love inside a sci-fi time loop!LocalizationMultiple language localization (German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese...), with more translation options being actively planned.New NPCsThe hotel is getting even livelier with new characters to meet, each bringing their own unique secrets, quests, and personalities into the time loop. This also includes the backers' NPCs, who are woven into the story based on the tier they selected.Skill TreeA proper Skill Tree system! This will give you more gameplay depth, allowing you to unlock cool abilities and customize how you approach solving the hotel's mysteries with every loop. What’s Next?Gosh, I am done watching numbers, lol! Now, my main focus shifts back to development, expanding the story, and polishing the demo for Steam Next Fest in June. I also need to work on the backer rewards and start collaborating with my partners (composers, sound designers and translators). The current roadmap targets a full release in Fall 2027. I want to make sure this game is everything you hoped for and more, so I appreciate your patience as I pour my heart into making it perfect. If you haven’t already, the playabl...Read full article on Community Announcements (pixlerin)Patch NotesOfficial

Alpha Demo Out Now! | The Lost Hotel
Now that I’ve presented a playable demo for the second time at GG Bavaria in Munich (a German gaming convention), I’m finally releasing it online. I’ve tried to incorporate as much feedback as possible so you can enjoy a smooth gaming experience and get a little glimpse into my game, The Lost Hotel, which I’ve been developing for over four years now. What’s included in the Alpha DemoThe demo offers a glimpse into what the full game will become:Beginning & CharacterAn intro to get into the moodA character creator to design your own hotelier NPCs & InteractionsInteract with a small selection of NPCs, each of whom has their own daily routineA dialogue system where you can unlock optionsStory & ProgressionVent the kitchenRestore the robots’ hard disc on a computerA cutscene after the first night that deepens the narrativeUnlock your first 2 Memory FragmentsLearn new skills in the archive to improve your hotel managementUnlock a new garden areaGrow berries and harvest them after 4 in-game days (there is a button to skip days in the options menu)Use them to create a new recipeTeach it to the robots and update the daily menuActivities & Side ContentMix cocktails at the barPlay the arcade minigame "CapsulePets"Freely explore the hotel, discover rooms, and soak in the atmosphereThe main demo activities take place in the lobby and on the second deck. There's nothing ready on the upper decks (except for the lab, but you don't have the required level for that yet). Why an Alpha Demo? The Lost Hotel is currently running a Kickstarter campaign. This demo is a huge part of that, it’s designed to give you a real feel for the game and help you decide if you want to support its development. If you enjoy your time in the hotel, consider checking out the campaign and becoming part of the journey. Every bit of support helps bring the full vision to life.Link to the Lost Hotel on KickstarterThe demo isn’t running completely smoothly yet, but I’d still love to hear your feedback.
