  “…Oh, hello there everyone!”“MKRU has been very busy this week, so I have taken it upon myself to share a bit of what he has been working on!”“What’s with that suspicious look on your face? Who am I, you ask? Why, a friend of course!”“Now then, take a peek at this early screenshot of the shores of Thuhenia!”“This slice of the region of Thuhenia is surrounded by treacherous waters, making sailing here dangerous for inexperienced seafarers. It’s rather secluded, but there’s still some folk that live near the old castle, fearing it as cursed. They’re pretty dumb, though. It’s just a decrypted pile of ruins now!”“Oh, oh, oh check this out, I got a preview of something MKRU sketched this week. I’m sure he wouldn’t want me sharing this to you so soon! “What do you think is going on here? I already know, but I won’t tell! Hoho!”“It’s time I take my leave.   BI-WEEKLY UPDATE!! 8/16/2026

  I’ve spent a lot of time lately thinking about where exactly I should begin with this next chapter. There’s a lot that needs to get done for the finale, and I’ll admit that looking at everything ahead of me has felt a little overwhelming. My day job also gets particularly busy around this time of year, so my head has felt pretty clouded trying to figure out what I should prioritize—especially as I settle into this new bi-weekly update schedule.Ultimately, I decided the best approach was to stop worrying about tackling everything at once and instead focus on accomplishing something small each day. A little map creation here, some sketching there... all of these things need to get done eventually, so every small task I finish is one less waiting for me later.One of those tasks was beginning work on the edge of a new region players will visit during this chapter: Thuhenia. Although you’ll only be exploring a small portion of it, this is a land that has been mentioned in passing throughout Crimson Veil for quite some time. More importantly, it’s the place Dorian ordered his brides to flee to should things ever go awry.And, well... things certainly have.Things are going to heat up considerably in this chapter—in more ways than one! One thing I can reveal for certain is that a major battle is coming, and when these opposing forces finally collide, neither side intends to hold anything back...In other news, the latest Bad Ends comic by rg_18vhit is now available for everyone!   BI-WEEKLY UPDATE!! 8/2/26

  ​You read that headline correctly. Weekly Updates are becoming Bi-Weekly Updates!There are a few reasons for this change. First and foremost, Crimson Veil has officially entered its final chapter. While I still have plenty I want to share with you all, I also want to preserve the surprises that come with bringing a story like this to its conclusion. As we get closer to the end, it becomes increasingly difficult to find things to preview each week without revealing too much.The second reason is that I want to begin easing my Patreon into its next stage. Once Crimson Veil is complete, I still fully intend to remain active here, but there will no longer be any weekly updates for the game. The type of content I create will naturally have to evolve. I have a long list of artwork I’ve wanted to make for years but never had the time to focus on making it while simultaneously developing the game. I plan to spend more time creating fan art, taking community requests that you’ll be able to vote on, and opening commissions more regularly. And of course, Crimson Veil isn’t going anywhere—I’ll still be drawing Mila and the rest of the cast long after the story reaches its conclusion!Finally, after posting updates almost every single week since 2019, I’ve realized how much of my daily schedule revolves around preparing something new to show. While I’ve enjoyed sharing development with you all, taking one week off between updates will give me a little more breathing room, reduce some unnecessary stress, and allow me to prepare more meaningful updates without slowing development on the finale itself.So… what should you expect from the ending of the Vampire Route?Like with the Hunter Route, this last chapter will be divided between two update releases. If you’ve played the Hunter Route all the way through, don’t expect the finale to follow the same formula. There won’t be some enormous final dungeon leading into the ending.   This week, I've been keeping busy with a variety of things behind the scenes while Patrons have been enjoying Version 5.8. It's always nice to finally have a release in everyone's hands and shift my focus toward updating the supporting resources that go along with it. First off, the Crimson Veil Walkthrough has now been updated to Version 5.8.
