About this game

Cast Shape Archetype + Element + Effect = Infinite Incantations
Infinite Incantation uses a robust component spell system that can combine elements, casting styles, and special effects in a variety of different ways. Stryx, your (totally friendly and charming) owl companion can convert the experience points you collect into powerful spells. Like a spell? Or even dislike it? Choose to randomly evolve it into something even stronger, whether through greater power or mutated attributes. The spell will randomly mutate into something even stronger and more wild. Who knows what kind of mayhem that'll ensue? There are hundreds of combinations you could need to adapt to on the fly.

You can customize the type of mage you want to be and how you want to interact with the deep component spell system.
- Level up and upgrade your stats.
- Specialize in certain elemental affinities.
- Build your deck of spell archetype cards before heading out.
- Mutate spells on the fly and roll the dice to see what you get.

- Tear up seemingly endless hordes of monsters and bosses all vying for your demise.
- Twin-Stick Shooter-type controls.
- Cast spells manually or automatically.
- Play with a controller or a keyboard and mouse.
- No scissors or glue required.

But we've moved on and are hard at work on our next game. We figured if we're no longer supporting this game, we might as well not ask for any money. Yes, it's free now! You can endure the flurry of enemies and randomness without any charge. Stryx makes you suffer enough, doesn't he? ;)Read full article on Community Announcements (Zero Sun Games)AnnouncementsOfficial
Infinite Incantation 1.0 Release!
We have seen all of the feedback and we feel the game has approached what we consider to be a good state for a full release. This does not mean updates will end– we anticipate more feedback after this update, so feel free to bring up discussion on the forums. And who knows, there might be more content to come in the future ;) New Level! Introducing a new “Level 3” - Borzoi Blizzard A snow level with all-new enemies: Gnomes, Ants, WolfHounds, and Feather Stars, each with their own patterns and behaviours New achievements for this level, too New Features The Spell card in the lower left now shows when it’s about to drastically change - the more you Mutate a spell in quick succession, the more likely it is to change the Spell Archetype. This will help you feel more in-control, as you can more clearly see how the mechanics work The game will let you know of your next possible achievements in the upper right of the HUD, so your level performance and how it relates to the results screen is clearer You can now rebind Spell selection from 1, 2, and 3 on the keyboard New Spell Archetypes: Laser (an Archetype that is mostly the laser effect), Helix, Rain, Stick, and Hyperbolic Barrage New Achievements: Having a high money multiplier while beating each level New Spell Effects! Every element can now come in Laser form, allowing you to tear through enemies as if they were paper- oh, wait Lasers can either appear on spell projectiles or spawn on spell expiry Each laser applies the special effect of every element as well Lasers can be cast directly, or when the spell expires Gameplay and Balancing The old “Level 3” - Vagrant’s Volcano, is now Level 4 Vagrant’s Volcano enemies, patterns, and difficulty have been adjusted accordingly The final boss of Vagrant’s Volcano has been vastly improved Various tweaks and adjustments Optimization and Visuals There are now graphics quality settings to turn down in case things are still getting a little framey Blood Hunt effects are now clearer...Read full article on Community Announcements (Zero Sun Games)Patch NotesOfficial
Infinite Incantation Update 0.2.0
UPDATE: 0.2.1 Hotfix fixes the issue where the money multiplier would not initialize unless the shop was opened. Now there's no issue. Sorry about that! Hello everyone, we have another update prepared for Infinite Incantation. Changelog: Optimization Reduced enemy load resulting in much higher framerates across the board Bountiful remote detonation and similar combinations will no longer cause freezing when casting Other minor tweaks The game should run better now, please let us know! New Features Refunding now has a cost - so plan carefully! The amount and strengths of Spell Archetypes you Exclude now affect a money gain multiplier. Going into a level with a less-than-advantageous deck will now give you more money, and egregiously stacking the deck in your favour might cause your total money gain to decrease Double the money multiplier with the cheat code HARDMONEYEASY Upgrading Earth affinity also increases the size of earth spells 5 new Spell Archetypes: Zipper, Crop Dusters, Morebiting, Scrubber, and Spiral Collapse Gameplay and Balancing Dexterity stat now increases base critical hit chance Luck stat has been buffed slightly Cost of upgrading Affinities has been decreased Cost of upgrading stats has changed slightly Flask upgrades cost less and you receive more from beating bosses On Passive spell effects have increased in size Last 2 bosses of every level have increased in size Returning to the Tower no longer opens the Title Screen Tutorial now shows up after returning to the Tower for the first time so first-time players can have more context for its explanations Nerfed final boss of Vagrant’s Volcano slightly (this boss will be reworked in later updates) Removed the ability to get Bountiful upgrade on Star Bugs Fixed Fixed issue where the player could not interact with level portals or the shop upon loading cloud saves on another device Larger enemies no longer push you around Fixed rare issues when rebinding controls Fixed another Cannon Ape T-pose issue F...Read full article on Community Announcements (Zero Sun Games)Patch NotesOfficial
