    Streaming with Moongaku

First and foremost, thank you for your patience. You've all been very nice and very patient waiting for the new update to come out. And update that I've been working on for almost 6 months now, my longest amount of time spent on a single update so far. You will have to wait a little longer still. The next update rewrites large portions of the code and changes almost all aspects of the game. Because of this, I've decided that the next update would be version 2.0.0. On the 25th of february at 7:30 PM (EST), will be streaming a private (unfinished) version of Dream Catcher that showcases new features from 2.0.0 on twitch. I will be in the chat to answer questions but mostly I will be backseat gaming. Here are some of the features that have already been finished and may or may not appear on stream:Weather system.Day/Night cycle.Hats.Petting.New breeding mechanic.Improved animations and sound effects.Improved lighting system.Improved follower pathfinding.

    Dream Catcher 1.8.2.1

(January 7th 2026)Well this is embarrassing. After 4 months of working on "the big update", I have to release this small patch to address some security vulnerabilities that were found recently. This update has no new features but a lot of bugfixes, optimizations and a few visual upgrades.CHANGESOptimization : Greatly reduced multiple sources of lag spikes (Talking to a NPC or doing an attack notoriously caused up to a 1 second delay).UX : The game will no longer try to adjust for both mouse-and-keyboard and controller at all times. Instead, the game tries to guess which one you are using and adjusts only based on one (This means a less inconsistent camera).UX : Added a prompt indicator when an interactable object is highlighted. The indicator changes based on whether you are using a controller or not.UX : Reworked the camera to be easier to use on different devices. Specially controllers and trackpads.Visual : All health bars in battle are now made of cardboard.Customization : Trainer eyes now look less vacant.Customization : The colors of your clothes are now limited by the same limitations tulpas have (cannot be pitch black, darker colors are less saturated, etc.).Skill : Slightly improved the logic of how skills are randomized.Physic : NPC hitbox sizes are now based on their real height.BUG FIXESUI : During a trainer's turn, the label said "Trainer" instead of the trainer's name.Visual : The miss percentage indicator was very pixelated during battle.Skill : Sometimes, when making a new save file, your starter tulpa would have invalid equipped skills by default.

Dream Catcher 1.8.2 : Fancy Update (Part 3)

(September 15th 2025)I've heard you loud and clear. Everybody wants a better world map. The world is too blocky! I get it.This will be the last "Fancy Update". The next update is the big one. Don't expect it for a couple of months but I will make sure the wait is worth it. But that's next update. Here is what I've been working on these past 2 months (Other than playing silksong). The focus of this update was to make skills look and feel more unique from one another by adding sounds and animations. I also reworked breeding to be less of a chore.CHANGESTulpa : Added 8 new evolutions. (Every tulpa evolves now).Tulpa : Most tulpas learn new and improved skills. (Cubble no longer learns a skill that regenerate mana, but no skill that uses mana)Tulpa : Bunibble's new evolution comes in 3 unique forms. (The forms are purely aesthetic)Tulpa : Bunibble was changed to come in 3 colors by default.Tulpa : Some descriptions in the bestiary were improved.Battle : Skills now have different sound effects and a few animations. (punching, throwing, dancing, etc.)Battle : Status effects now have unique visual effects and sounds.Battle : Added the status effects "snare" and "shackle" which prevent the target from moving.Battle : Added the status effect "Elemental shield" which will add temporary health of a certain element, regardless of the tulpa's actual element.Battle : Slightly decreased stutter during battle.Battle : Added a summon/retrieve animation that also plays when you set your follower.Battle : Added the "wake up" and "element chart" buttons from battle to the formation screen. (You can now give up before the battle even starts)Battle : A tulpa's tooltip will now appear when you summon. (So you don't accidentally summon a tulpa with 1 HP)Breeding : Eggs are now items and will hatch based on time, not battles fought.Breeding : Added an animation when eggs hatch.UI : Added an inventory screen. (The only available items are eggs)UI : Added a counter to keep track of elements u...

Dream Catcher 1.8.1.1 : Fancy Update (Quick Fix)

(July 21th 2025)There were a few bugs that snuck in the last update. This quick fix addresses all the ones that were reported.IMPROVEMENTSBalance : Tulpas in the reserve now get 25% of the experience even if they were not summoned.Balance : Tulpas regenerate 2% of their max mana every turn.Balance : Everytime you fail a catch, the catch chance increases by a small amount (Up to 33%).UI : You can now check the tooltip of monsters in the formation screen.World : Beds are now useable in the dream world and will simply wake you up.World : CDs now give a popup telling you the name of the CD you just collected.World : After some feedback, I removed the green light from the blue room (This sentence makes sense in context).BUG FIXESFixed : Some skills were not checking the correct values when deciding if you could afford them. Sting in particular allowed you to kill yourself by using it.Fixed : Tooltips in the breeding menu would show all stats as 0 if the tulpa had the passive Hivemind.Fixed : The chef's uniform did not render and in some cases made you a floating head.
