About this game
Welcome to the Mythic Protocol
The world has always been stranger than we were allowed to know.
Mythic entities, things that go bump in the night, and impossible doorways to a limitless universe of wonders - and threats - all exist, just beyond sight. Secret societies, hidden wars, and impossible technologies all bend to one mandate: contain the unknown before it consumes us.
You are a Weaver, an elite operative of the Mythic Protocol trained to close rifts, wield supernatural powers, deploy unique technologies, and survive encounters with entities that should not exist. Deploy alone or with up to two friends and take the fight into unstable mythic combat zones where every mission is another chance to bring something dangerous back alive — or make sure it never returns.
Investigate, Contain, Exterminate
The Protocol dictates the mission, you execute.
Investigate anomalous activity. Contain rift outbreaks. Exterminate mythic threats before they spiral beyond control.
Drop into hostile PvE missions, complete objectives, collect weapons and field upgrades, and decide how far your squad is willing to push before seeking extraction. Your deployment, your choice - but be warned: Rift Exposure Zones are not to be trifled with.
Rifts escalate, mythics swarm, and not everyone can make it out.
Wield, Shape, and Unleash Yourself
Weavers are no ordinary operatives.
Each Weaver brings their own abilities, combat identity, and role in the squad. Wield experimental weapons, manipulate rift energy, and harness in-mission Lythogram upgrades to reshape your builds and playstyles mid-mission.
Stack modifiers. Trigger synergies. Turn a clean loadout into something ridiculous by the end of a deployment. The possibilities are yours to explore, and unleash.
Rift Exposure Zones
Some areas are too corrupted to secure cleanly.
Rift Exposure Zones are high-risk areas filled with deadly corruption, unstable rewards, and even deadlier mythics. Push inside to chase better loot and bigger opportunities, or stay clear and keep your current haul safe.
The choice is up to you, and your squad: Go deeper for what might be waiting inside, or extract before the rift decides for you.
Weapon Scarring System
Every deployment will put at risk your favourite weapons.
If you fail to extract, not only will you lose everything you’ve found on mission, and the weapons you brought will not come back unscathed.
Scarred Weapons will replace one of its weapon mods with a random negative mod. These weapons remain usable, but scarred.
Not Your Average Extraction Game
RIFTSTORM is not about hardcore tactics, gear fear, or punishing players for wanting to have fun.
This is power-fantasy forward looter-shooter, with the freedom to extract. Become a Weaver. Kill monsters. Build momentum. Push your luck. Extract with your rewards — or come back scarred, rebuild, and go again.
Disclaimer: RIFTSTORM is an always online multiplayer game and will require a live internet connection to play.

RIFTSTORM 0.6.2.4 - More Control, More Loot
Changelog 0.6.2.4Hey everyone,Another small update today, mostly focused on giving you a bit more control over moment-to-moment play and making some of the higher-risk encounters feel more worthwhile. We’ve added new reload behavior options, reworked how terminating a mission works, improved Elite rewards, and cleaned up a few more crash and gameplay issues.QoL UpdatesWeapon Reload BehaviorAdded new reload behavior settings (found under Gameplay settings):Constant Auto (current)Reload On Empty (new default)ManualManual reload now has its own dedicated keybind. We’ve also added proper dry-fire feedback when trying to fire an empty weapon, and manual reloads can no longer be interrupted by shooting.NOTE: The R Skill keybind is now moved to T to allow for manual reloads. For players who have been playing game so far, you will need to manually select the option to Reload On Empty or Manual.Additional Gameplay Settings:Added an option under Gameplay Settings to hide Allied Projectile VFX.This is mainly intended to help reduce on-screen clutter, especially during busier co-op encounters.Added option to turn off ScreenshakeMission Termination ReworkYou can now Terminate Mission through the pause menu.Doing so starts a 20-second countdown before returning you to HQ. You can cancel the countdown at any time and return to the mission. Please Note: The simulation continues during this countdown (the game is not paused), so make sure you do this somewhere safe. This is not intended as an easier alternative to Extraction. It is mainly there as a fallback if you run into a bug, need to leave unexpectedly, or are simply too far from an Extraction Zone.To make the difference clearer:Terminate MissionLeave the mission and return to HQ.You lose nothing you brought into the mission. You do not keep anything collected during that mission.Your weapons will not receive a Weapon Scar.Partial ExtractionExtract from an Extraction Zone before completing the mission. You lose nothing you brought in...Read full article on Community Announcements (LittlestCutestBabyBunny)Patch NotesOfficial

RIFTSTORM 0.6.2.2 - A Little Less Broken, A Few More Scars
Changelog 0.6.2.2Hey everyone,Another batch of changes this week, mostly focused on making the everyday parts of RIFTSTORM a little smoother:We’ve added some frequently requested QoL features around salvaging, weapon management, and finding lobbies, alongside another balance pass and continued work on co-op stability and desync issues.QoL UpdatesAdded a Select All button when salvaging weapons at the Forge.Weapons can now be locked, preventing them from being accidentally salvaged.Expanded Lobby Filters with additional options:Mission Selected — whether the party has already selected a mission.Mission Status — whether the party is currently in a mission or at HQ.Mission Type — including Urgent Missions, Killbox, and specific Keystones.Enemy TypeThreat LevelAdded separate connection status indicators for Steam and the Photon server. This should also help us better identify where connection problems are occurring when you send us reports. Please be sure to tell us what the Status indicators are when reporting the problems to us.Added a setting to hide Ally Projectile VFX to reduce on-screen clutter.BalancingCreds can now drop from enemies and when weaving Rifts.Increased the Combat Power of weapon drops from missions.Reduced projectile damage from the Elite mutator.Reduced explosion damage from the Terminal Volatility Anomaly.Enemies affected by Terminal Volatility explode when killed, damaging nearby Weavers.Reduced damage from the Kinetic Reflux Anomaly.Enemies affected by Kinetic Reflux release a damaging pulse around themselves when hit.Reduced the cooldown of the Vampiris evasion ability. We'll need to a larger Vampiris balance pass later, but this should make some of the Vampiris encounters more manageable early on.Killbox drop rates were increased, but so has the overall difficulty of the mission (we may patch this soon)As a result the KIllbox CP will show as 9999 at the max possible level. RIFTSTORM 0.6.2.1 - Scarred Weapon Repair Update
Changelog 0.6.2.1Hey everyone,We held off pushing a couple earlier patches so we can make sure these work and 0.6.2.1 ended up slightly bigger one than we originally planned, so thank you for your patience. The main addition in this patch is the Weapon Repair function you can now find in the Armory. This has been one of the more consistently requested features since launch and we're happy to put out a quick implementation of it in. Alongside that, we’ve made a few progression and QoL changes, cleaned up some rough edges, and rolled in another batch of fixes from your reports.HighlightsAdded Weapon Repair functionality to the ArmoryReduced the difficulty of Op. Aegis Core to make progression smoother.Added duplicate keybind detection when remapping controls.Increased the pickup radius for loot.Bug FixesPartially Fixed several issues with Purple Challenge Walls that could cause players to become stuck inside. This rolls several related fixes into one. We have a few more changes coming as we test and refine these encounters, but this should significantly reduce the chance of getting stuck.Temporarily removed Purple Challenge Walls from Rift Exposure Zones, giving players a way to escape and extract while we continue refining the Extraction meta.Fixed a crash when joining a lobby.Fixed a crash that could occur on the mission results screen.Fixed Botsy's skill descriptions to correctly display turret counts and values.Fixed incorrect weapon stat information. We're excited that we got to push this out as a bigger patch than just a small fix ahead of the weekend. As a reminder: You will not be able to join Lobbies with different builds. In most cases you will not be able to see Lobbies with different version numbers, but if you try to join a lobby via Invite or Lobby Code to a different version, you will likely cause a crash. Please run a Verify Integrity check to make sure your game is up to date.Thank you as always for your feedback.— The RIFTSTORM teamRead full article on Community Announcements (LittlestCutestBabyBunny)
