House of Lies - Dev Update
Hello everyone! I am very excited to reveal some new screenshots and info on a new demo I have been hard at work on. House of Lies has undergone some major changes that I feel will represent the game much better. I have created brand new environments that you'll explore in the upcoming demo. The AI has been completely re-written with a much better base to work with now that allows us to implement new features and different enemies. Enjoy some new screenshots of the new areas and I will have another update soon with a date for the demo. New Demo for Steam Scream
Greetings everyone! I have a small update for the demo that has fixed a few things and added a small amount of content. There is now a shotgun in the game and a little puzzle you'll have to solve to retrieve it. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Changes made in this build: - Lowered the amount of zombies and adjusted damage values for weapons. - Zombies should die a bit faster now with the pistol and there is now a bonus amount of damage applied for headshots - Added a new room to explore and a small puzzle to retrieve the shotgun. - Some small changes in location of items - Adjusted lights to fade in/out over a certain distance. Mostly to help with performance, but it is a temporary fix. The lighting will be overhauled for the final game. Here is a list of known issues. Please understand this game is still very early in development, so it's very likely that you might run across some bugs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- List of known issues: - There are some stutters that are caused when loading and unloading areas of the map. These will be smoothed out and fixed over the course of development. - There is a lot of jank with the zombies. They have the most basic AI implemented and very limited animations. These will be completely reworked and improved upon in the final game. - Controller support is still in testing and may not work for some UI elements. Keyboard & Mouse is recommended. - There are occasional sound glitches that seem to play twice. - Saving is still a bit glitchy. It should work much better than before, but there are still occasional issues with items not being saved/loaded. - The lighting still may be a bit glitchy and fade in/out depending on distance. This is mostly to help with performance, but will be completely reworked for the final game. - There is still no map, but there will be for the next major demo and full game. - The shotguns animations are a bit messy.
