About this game

An adventuring guild hall was built in the country side, atop the mouth of an ancient portcullis. Beyond the steel and stone gate lies the twisting expanse of the DUNJUN, filled with vile monsters and deadly traps. Aspirants travel from lands near and far to delve into the DUNJUN’s timeless depths, seeking treasure, knowledge, and fame alike. Time has forgotten the DUNJUN’s origins, but many a rumor escapes the lips of bards, scholars, and soldiers.
In DUNJUNGUY, a party of up to four friends can test their might against the hordes of creatures in the DUNJUN. Combining Action RPG mainstays with mechanics familiar to Roguelike fans, players can choose abilities, find powerful gear, and navigate procedurally generated environments while staving off impending doom. DUNJUNGUY delivers a cartoony visual style, contrasted by its exploration of macabre and moody touchstones.

In this couch co-op dungeon-crawler you and four friends venture into the depths of a dark dungeon where enemies, traps, and loot await! Play up to 4 different classes, level up your abilities, and explore a variety of unique and handcrafted dungeons where peril awaits around every turn. After surviving each round of the DUNJUN your party may find respite in the Tavern, a place to sell loot, upgrade your player, and chat with the locals. Once you have proved your mettle as a brave adventurer DUNJUNGUY himself may permit you to enter the deepest depths of the DUNJUN where fame, glory, knowledge, and riches beyond your wildest imagination await.

DUNJUNGUY v0.1.8 - Feedback Update
Welcome travelers! We've gotten a lot of feedback at shows and conventions that we've been to this last year. We've met countless awesome people and have had a ton of fun showing you all DUNJUNGUY! We went to 6 conventions in 2024, and traveled all over the country, from Texas to Wisconsin. It was an awesome experience. So, to wrap up this year, we wanted to apply a lot of the feedback we got from all of you awesome people to the game. So here's to 2025 and what is to come! Patch Notes: Improved tavern basement to teach base game mechanics a little better (more to come on this) Holes are no longer an instant kill, now they damage you and place you outside the hole. Watch out because you can fall back in again... Fix an infinite money bug in the tavern Tavern effigy respawn works between floors (still some wonkiness though) Players should no longer "skip" floors in the DUNJUN Droppable Items should always appear/render above the floor now Improve bullywug sorting so head stops clipping into ceiling tiles Skeletons no longer run in place when finding a path Quickstart goes right into the DUNJUN instead of back to the tavern Abilities/Attacks should auto-cast when holding R2 on controller and mouse clicking on keyboard Slight Improvements to UI and interactivity Thanks for sticking around! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43667470/0458c4d299802135f6d990656a1c733161fef068.png Hello Madison Wisconsin! We're here at MDEV attending the game showcase hoping to highlight our latest changes to DUNJUNGUY! If you find one and activate it in the main inventory it will revive your fallen comrade. Even if they fell down one of those pesky holes. The Tavernkeeper now has an something to say instead of just standing there all creepy like. On top of that the axe and combat in general should feel a lot smoother. Changelog: New Effigy Item - Revive your friends! New Shopkeeper Interactions Improved feedbacks when level up happens Faster axe swings Fixed issues with Axe skill tree progression Standardize mana/stamina consumption Improved particle effects on enemies and coins Fixed ability names and descriptionsRead full article on Community Announcements (agapitostudios)Patch NotesOfficial
DUNJUNGUYv0.1.6 - Keys & Stuff
Hello people who use keys! Big update for all of our locksmiths out there. Keys now show up in the inventory in a special UI slot down by the coins instead of appearing in the inventory. We got tired of all the space they were taking up. We also have some more minor performance enhancements in this update. Hopefully your DUNJUN runs a little smoother now. Thanks for checking it out!Read full article on Community Announcements (agapitostudios)Patch NotesOfficial

Oh hello there, We've been busy debugging and finding performance improvements for the DUNJUN since our last update. We've also got some controller bug fixes as well. DUNJUNGUY 0.1.4 - Performance Improvements Pt 2
Greetings patrons and passerby, Here is another small patch for performance improvements. It turns out the Magic Skeletons were shooting 3 fireballs at once instead of 1. This sometimes caused the whole DUNJUN to lock up and confused a lot of the other creatures therein. We've talked to their manager (the Lich) and this issue should be resolved now. Thank you for stopping by!Read full article on Community Announcements (agapitostudios)
