About this game

Farmburgh is a re-imagining of the classic browser point and click idle farming games (you know which ones I'm talking about). Many of those games have since fizzled out or have been converted to mobile cash grabs. Farmburgh dares to be a breath of fresh air on the genre. You can decorate your farm, plant many various crops, raise (sometimes wacky) animals and craft trade goods to sell for a profit. Farmburgh has a little for everyone, from the hardcore optimizer, squeezing every last drop of profit out of their farm to the artistic person, creating a beautiful home for their animals. Whatever your style, come on down to Farmburgh and become the virtual farmer you were always meant to be.

What would a farming game be without farming? Plow your fields and plant your crops with just a couple of clicks. Each plant takes a designated real life time to grow, from minutes to hours. Plant a few rows of corn on your lunch break and come back after work to harvest them. All the plants are always in season in Farmburgh, so you have many to choose from. Each one with their own advantages and disadvantages. Be sure to check in often, especially around holidays. The store is known to stock up on special crops during those times.

Animals have their place on the farm too! Don't worry though, Farmburgh is a strictly no-kill district. That means you have to come up with some creative ways to gather resources from your animals. We won't tell you what those are yet...that's up to you to see for yourself! Animal's produce a resource every few minutes to every few hours once they reach adulthood. This game never takes itself too seriously. So you may have some exotic animals along side your cows and sheep.

Now you've got plenty of produce and plenty of animal products, so now what? You could sell them like that or combine your different resources to make even more money. Some buildings have an option to purchase crafting stations in them. These crafting stations allow you to combine resources to make food, alcohol, textiles and other trade good. Once you set recipe, it'll continue crafting until you tell it to stop or it runs out of ingredients. Just like crop and animals, crafting takes a designated amount of real life time to do. This may take longer than selling directly, but I promise the payoff will be worth it!

After all that hard work, it's time to get paid. You're able to sell your goods to various marketplaces. Each marketplace requires a one time purchase in order to use them. They each also have products that sell at a higher or lower price than normal. For instance, you can't sell your homemade vodka at a school bake sale and your knitted sweater wouldn't do well at a winery. You start off with your roadside stand, making minimal profits. Eventually you can work your way up!

So you've got tons of cash now, what's next? Decorate your farm with tons of decorations from the catalog. Fences, benches, flags, trees and so much more. New decor is being added all the time. (Protip, the haybales are really good for pixel art!).

There's so much more to discover and even more to come! Weekly requests, level system and animal storage top list!

Farmburgh - Version 1.1.9 - An Apology from the Developer

It's been a while Farmburghians. First off, I want to apologize for not being as attentive to Farmburgh and some of its issues as I should have. A few months after the game release, my life got really busy with a new job amongst other things. As of December, I had made Farmburgh free on Steam while officially ending developer support. I never saw Farmburgh as being a fully completed game, but I no longer had the time to maintain it. I made it free so that more people would be able to enjoy the thing I'd put my heart and soul into for over a year. With the influx of new players, there were some more bugs discovered that I largely ignored until now. I do apologize for ignoring those because some of them made the game unplayable. This was not my intent, so this week, I had made the effort to tackle a few of the major ones to make Farmburgh playable. Specifically, the issue of level unlocks not saving properly. This issue is now fixed, and those who were affected will have their Level Points appropriately refunded. While fixing these bugs, I did find the motivation to add a few new crops and decorations. While these will not be a part of this smaller update, they will be releasing (hopefully) within the next week! Thank you all for playing and for your continued patience! Patch Notes Unlocks bought with LP will now save properly. LP that has been wasted has now been refunded. When removing buildings, crafting stations now properly refund resources and animals are returned to storage.

Farmburgh is now Free to Play!

Hello Farmburghians, I know it has been a while, but I'm back with some news. Farmburgh was my first ever successful game release. It was my passion project for almost a year. Since release, I've felt that while Farmburgh was a great start, it was never properly expanded on or "completed." The plan was to bring tons of content to the game through weekly and seasonal updates. But as we all know, plans change. My real job got a lot more stressful until I was pretty much forced to find a new one. Though this new job is much better, I still lack the time to properly maintain a game. All that being said, it seems like a handful of people are interested in playing Farmburgh, and in my not-so-unbiased opinion, I think it deserves to be played. So from henceforth, Farmburgh will be FREE to all new players! I'd like to thank all the loyal fans who've bought and enjoyed the game! Also, join our Discord! If this free to play move sparks enough interest, I may be interesting in doing some future updates ;) Thanks again and happy farming!

Farmburgh - Version 1.1.8 - Pride Flags & Custom Flags

Happy Pride, Farmburghians! In the spirit of the Pride month, we are thrilled to announce a special update. We deeply believe that love knows no bounds, and each one of us deserves recognition, acceptance, and freedom to express our identities. It is with this belief that we are launching our latest update which embraces diversity and champions inclusivity. Today, we are introducing a new feature - Flags. But these are not just any flags. They represent you, your identity, and your pride. We have been working on a collection of flags that represent a variety of sexual and gender identities. But that's not all. We understand that identities can be as diverse as the colors of a rainbow, and sometimes, they might not fit neatly into a predefined category. For this very reason, we've ensured that the flags are customizable. Yes, you read that right! You can now create your own personalized flags, representing your unique identity or supporting those identities close to your heart. You can use these flags as a permanent decoration for your farms, proudly displaying your solidarity with the diverse Farmburgh community. It's a small step in making Farmburgh a place where everyone feels seen, recognized, and welcomed. Remember, Farmburgh isn't just a game; it's a community. A community that thrives on acceptance, love, and mutual respect. By introducing these Pride flags, we aim to reinforce that everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, has a place here. You are accepted. Happy farming, and once again, Happy Pride! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43509856/303ff2514926b9cb74b0bc301c147e0b5eb2792c.png Adding a custom flag Navigate to your Steam library directory. Patch Notes - Version 1.1.6 - Save Game Upgrade

Save Game Upgrades Greetings Farmburghians! We've heard your concerns loud and clear: as your farms grow bigger, the save times grow as well. And we agree, that's been a far-from-ideal situation! So, we have been working round the clock for the last two weeks on a new save engine. We're thrilled to say it's now live! When you launch the game after this recent update, you'll notice that your save file automatically upgrades to the new system. Rest assured, your farm data is completely safe during this process – you won't lose a single piece of your hard-earned progress. What does this mean for you? Quicker saves, smoother transitions when changing windows, and an overall smoother gaming experience when closing the game. Just a couple of important points: Please refrain from closing the game while the save spinner is active (you'll see it in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen). Always close the game properly using the main menu option. Forced closures can lead to incomplete saves, and nobody wants that! We appreciate your understanding and are excited for you to experience these upgrades. As always, we are here for any feedback or concerns you may have. Faster Planting & Harvesting We know that as your farms flourish, managing them can become a rather time-consuming task. Planting and harvesting. This week, we're also excited to roll out our new feature that will revolutionize your farming experience – a much faster way to plant, plow, and harvest your crops with just a click and drag! That's right, it's as simple as it sounds! With this update, you can expect to significantly reduce the time and effort it takes to manage your fields. What once took minutes of clicking can now be accomplished in mere seconds of dragging! That leaves you with more time to enjoy the fruits of your labor and plan your next farming venture. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43509856/b2d1a18f8c347d8830de27aa444c5a1a8a9cbf6a.gif What's Next? The first seasonal Farmburgh event is right around the c...
