Navigate Hopping Forest's winding trails as you help a small frog leap safely across hazards. Use strategic tile movements to uncover hidden pathways in this charmingly challenging indie game from Arthemy Studios, released in 2023.
About this game
Hoping Forest is a low poly tile-based puzzle game with a relaxing atmosphere where your goal is to find a safe hidden path for the frog. Enjoy up to 60 levels in 4 different difficulties, each one with 2 possible solutions, while listening to some relaxing lofi music.

Move and rotate the different tiles to create the perfect path for each map. Avoid the hazards while you manage the fixed tiles that will force you to take a specific path. Try to catch files in your way to increase your score, but be aware, there's a limited amount of steps that the frog can do. Or search for a straight and quick path to the other side.

Dive into this relaxing world with some lofi beats and take all the time you need to find that perfect solution you are looking for.

Hoping Forest V1.5 is now live.
Version 1.5 of Hoping Forest is now live on Steam. This version includes a few internal changes aiming for the Android release, but also a couple of fixes and UI changes.Patch note: Fix issue where fast path wasn't recognized: Internally, the game has configured the minimum number of steps possible for each puzzle. However, there were reports of players finding paths even shorter than I believe possible. So now any path that is equal to or faster than the one I set up will count as the fast path for the level. Giving room to other clever players who can find paths I didn't imagine.Change in the UI for the tutorials: Now, Tutorial 1 and Tutorial 2 have new animations showing the action.Highlights of Steps and the beginning of the levels: Now, at the beginning of the level, the number of max steps for each level will appear with a simple animation to highlight it more, instead of just showing up in a corner of the screen.Regarding the Android port. It's going to take a bit more time. There are a few things behind the scenes that I just need to wait until they are done, and then there are processing times on the Google Play Store that will delay any kind of upload for at least a couple of weeks. However, as soon as I can publish a demo, there will be a new announcement including a sign-up for a closed beta on the full version. I'm also planning on adding an export-import system for the save files, so players can take their progress wherever they want. (Automatically cloud sync requires integration of third-party systems that I prefer not to put into the game, like Google login or stuff like that.)Read full article on Community Announcements (Arthemy)Patch NotesOfficial
3-year anniversary - Price change, small update, and future Android release
Hi! It's been a while. Next Friday, April 24th, mark the 3rd anniversary of the release of Hoping Forest. Over the years, the games have found a public who enjoy it a little bit and spend their time in the game (almost 50% of people complete the first zone), and their niche audience who really love the game! (around 18% of people get the 100%! that’s insane)Throughout this time, there have been quite a few plans for the game, most of which couldn’t materialize and were dropped. But for the 3rd anniversary, one thing I always regretted not doing from the start will happen. Hoping Forest will receive an Android release, to allow people to enjoy this experience from their phone with full native compatibility!I hope to have a demo published on the 24th, but that depends on some process and validations from Google Play. However, to celebrate this milestone, there will be a price reduction on the game using the new Steam pricing options (in most regions, the price will drop between 50% - 70%). And there will be an update on Steam on the 24th with some small fixes and changes I should have done quite some time ago, but life happened. For now, these are all my plans for the game, but who knows, maybe the adventures of this little frog aren’t over…Read full article on Community Announcements (Arthemy)AnnouncementsOfficial

Version 1.4 Update: New game modes and new price
It's already been 6 months and time flies. Version 1.4 is the update in charge of celebrate this milestone with 2 significant changes. The first one is GAME MODES: Now, first and foremost game modes will not change the puzzle mechanic of the game or the overall gameplay of Hoping Forest. Game modes change the speed and pace of the game for those who are looking for a more quick and expedited experience for the game. The first game mode is Fast Paced: In this mode, the frog movement, camera transitions, and score screen animations are up to twice as fast. This option is aimed at those who would like a bit faster transition between levels but don't want to miss anything. The speed will still let you appreciate the path you create and will show you your result and score, but will reduce significantly in the long run the time needed to complete the game. The second one is Speed Run: This mode removes completely the score screen, causing instant transition or reset of levels in addition to up to three times faster camera transition and frog movement. This option is aimed at those who just want to focus on solutions to the puzzles and don't care about anything else. You won't get feedback on your result and score and you might not be able to appreciate the path you create, but since completing levels is your main goal, it could not be a big loss for you. This mode also enables the Start run button on level selection. This option lets you start from level 1 of zone 1 without the need to finish the tutorial. If someone actually wants to try doing a speedrun of Hoping Forest this button could be what you are looking for. The second big change is a price update: First I would like to say a few things. Pricing a game is hard, is not easy to put a price tag on your work and effort, and that's not different when we are talking about indie games, specially on Steam. Originally I thought 5 USD could be a fair price for the game, but ended up convincing myself to increasing it up t...Read full article on Community Announcements (Arthemy)AnnouncementsOfficial
New language available - Catalán!
It's been a while since the last update, I promise that for the 6 months of Hoping Forest there are surprises to come but for now here is a small update Some time ago the people from Projecte 'Ce Trencada' approached me to offer a translation of Hoping Forest into Catalan with the intention of increasing the availability of projects and games in this language and I thought it was a wonderful initiative to contribute to the native language of a place that I personally love like Catalunya. So from now on Hoping Forest is also available in Catalan! I also took the opportunity to correct a couple of details with the localization of certain texts that I had overlooked for a long time. Late October will mark 6 months since the release of Hoping Forest and this is just a small taste of what I have in mind for it. Thanks again to the people at Projecte 'Ce Trencada' for the initiative.Read full article on Community Announcements (Arthemy)
