Make sure to check out the Playground modes too, to really identify the quirks of each shape!
4D Chess
How many moves ahead can you keep track of across the 256 squares spanning the Four Dimensions? Challenge your friends locally or through Steam Remote Play Together to see who really is the master at 4D Chess!
There are 3 board layouts for you to try on a 4x4x4x4 Chess Board. Check out the Steam Workshop to install other players custom board layouts or even create your own!
4D Maze
Fancy a more relaxed game? Take your time gliding along the paths of a 4D Maze! The Mazes are procedurally generated and come in sizes from 3x3x3x3 to 8x8x8x8. It gets pretty hard pretty quickly!
4D Shape Editor
Want to take your abilities with 4D Shapes to the next level? 4D Games includes a Node based Shader Editor that allows you to create totally custom 4D Shapes using Ray Marching. Combine and manipulate shapes, and don't forget to browse the Workshop to see what other players have been getting up to!

Update 1.2.3 - Shape Builder System Globalization Fix
Fixed issue with the Shape Builder failing to parse input if the system globalization did not conform to English system standards. Apologies this has been an issue for so long, we were only recently given enough information to act on this problem. This update also adds a feature to the Pose Match game in the Free Play practice mode which displays your current angle difference. If you struggled with this game before, hopefully this will help you get to grips with it!Read full article on Community Announcements (Tesseract Studios)Patch NotesOfficial

Update 1.2.0 - The 3D Printing Update
The 4D Playground and the Shape Builder now include the ability to export shapes in the .stl format, commonly used for 3D printing! As the shapes are defined mathematically as Signed Distance Fields (SDFs), a voxel grid system is used to export the 3D mesh. This works great for smooth surfaces, but note that hard edges look better at higher resolutions. You can adjust the resolution of the voxels when exporting your model, just remember, more detailed creations take longer to export. It is recommended to start with lower resolutions and work your way up to your desired level of detail. Have fun, and make sure to share any 3D prints you might make in the 4D Games Discord!Read full article on Community Announcements (Tesseract Studios)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 1.1.0 - The Shape Builder Update
Real Time Workflow Automatic Compilation & Draggable Input Fields Any changes made during the creation of your own 4D shapes are now compiled and rendered in real time. No more compile button, no more guessing positions/dimensions. It all updates as you make changes! The shape builder now makes use of draggable input fields. Just hover over an input field, like a position or dimension option, and drag! The position, rotation, and dimensions of the shape will update in real time depending on how far you drag, making for a much more user friendly workflow with immediate feedback. More Artistic Options This shape builder system was originally designed to be able to give you as many tools as you need to be as creative as you want and build fun stuff in an extra dimension. This update adds a bunch of new things so you can really let the artist in you run wild. Material Patterns Nodes now have a series of patterns you can pick as part of the material settings for the shapes. You can now set 4D textures that will give the shape some variation in its colour. Material Only Operator Introducing the "Material Only" operator. This allows you to combine a shape with a previous shape, but in a way where the material of the second shape is imprinted onto the first where they intersect. This allows for some really fun things like a 4D eyeball or a face on a 4D character. As a bonus, this feature only evaluates a shape in the final stage of the rendering, meaning it is very computationally cheap, looks better and is far more flexible compared to having to combine several shapes via the other boolean operators to add variations in colour. Background Colour You are no longer limited to a boring blue background! You can now set the background colour to whatever colour you want. I hope this encourages you all to try some creative things such as designing 4D environments, creating an atmosphere, or just because you think another colour would complement your creation better than just blue...Read full article on Community Announcements (Tesseract Studios)Patch NotesOfficial
