    Sorry for the silence

I'm sorry for the long silence. So much going on in my life and i had to pause on developing Sehoni Island. As you may or may not know i'm a single indie dev working on the game in my spare time so "real life" took over. But now i'm returning to the island! Hope to give you some real news soon!

    Current state of DEV

I worked on the UI again, needed to recreate it since the old one was really itching me.On addition to that i created the basics for the crafting system, fixed some underlying problems in some of the base game mechanics and reworked the pathfinding for the npcs and their scheduling system. All stuff needed to create a living island.

    Demo Version 0.3.4 Bugfixes

Apologies that this took me so long: I finally found the reason why monster weren't accessible anymore when you picked them up from being a companion.

    Current Focus in Development

I just wanted to give you a short glimpse into what i'm working on currently. Stash-System: Since you won't be able to carry all your stuff around you will need to create or buy or find options to store your stuff. There will be chests in the wild as well as such that you can claim for yourself. All the storage that you can claim will be linked so when you open one of your chests you will be able to look into all your stash-items and get them magically out of the chest you currently opened. So maybe placing stash chests over the island at stategic places will be a good thing later. NPC-Life Right now, in the Demo the NPCs are totaly static. They don't move, they don't do anything except standing there, waiting for you to talk to them. This is changing right now. I am currently working on the Scheduler system and behaviour trees of the NPCs so that the village will become a living area and not a static scene. After giving the NPCs some daily live i will need to work on some beviour trees for the monsters and ... add some lifestock or other animals as well.

    Thoughts about launching a demo

First of all: Thank you to all of you out there who looked into the demo... I was really stunned. Thank you for the reactions, good or bad, for the advice, for the ideas, for the bug searching with me... For noticing... I asked myself if it was right to push the demo out there. The game is in an early stage, the demo is not perfect (and may never be), it all needs a ton of work to do before i will call it a real game. I'm not really sure, I wanted to have it out there and so there it is. To tell you something about myself: I'm a single, part-time game dev working in webdevelopment for my main job (and I need that for the money). I always wanted to create a game myself with creatures and monster collecting and some other stuff and this is it. My game. And so I'm doing this monstly for myself, following a dream I've had about giving life to a combination of game mechanics I was never able to find in other games, but always wanted to play and enjoy. I want to share that game I dreamed of making with anyone who might have had that same experience, searching for that one game that had everything they wanted in it. I will work on it constantly and would love your input and ideas and will try to integrate them into the game. And what is to come? As I said, I'm working constantly at it... But part-time. I cannot afford to do it full-time for the time being, that is a fact. This will extend the timeline for getting all the stuff done that I want to be in the game. - TimeFlow -> As some players remarked, it is not good that there is no stopping the timeflow when you look into the inventory or talk to an NPC. So Timeflow will stop when you interact with an NPC or open the bigger UI stuff like the inventory, incubation stone or storage. - WorldMap -> there will be a worldmap with an indicator for where the player is for better orientation. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43433865/76f4c357265d1b2fca39887f28543633548fcaee.png - Storage -> some of the chests and other storage areas will be lin...
