Broombot Battlegrounds challenges you to dominate arenas as lovable cleaning robots. Team up or go solo in fast-paced, physics-driven battles for ultimate broombot supremacy.

About this game

In Broombot Battlegrounds, you and up to three other players take control of cute, customizable home cleaning robots. Each state-of-the-art Broombot model has been carefully modified for maximum battle-capability -- in other words, we strapped knives, forks, and whatever other dangerously pointy household items we could find to the top of them. The objective of the game is simple: use your chosen weapon to pop your opponent's dust balloon (located on their hind-quarters) before they can pop yours! Our Broombots also have a variety of maneuverability options at their disposal! Players will need to jump, dash and drift across 14 themed maps and 3 intense gamemodes in order to prove themselves as the ultimate cleaning machine.

Dress to kill! Personalize your Broombot with over 30 unique unlockable cosmetic items. Choose from a wide arsenal of weapons, decals, and Broombot models to make the cleaning robot of your dreams!

Spice up your battles with a dash of CHAOS! Hunt for hidden Power-Up Balloons and pop them with your weapon to receive one of eight special abilities, from conjuring a powerful vortex that sweeps enemies away to pulling out a literal flippin' handgun.

Broombot Battlegrounds has 3 unique competitive gamemodes to choose from!

CLEAN OF THE HILL

Dust as far as the eye can see -- a Broombot's dream come true! In this special split-screen gamemode, vacuum up dust and return it to your docking stand for points, but be careful! The more dust you collect, the bigger your dust balloon will get. If your dust bag gets popped, any goodies you collected will spill out, allowing opponents to swoop in and steal it!

TIMED DEATHMATCH

It's pop or be popped! The more player's balloons you pop, the more points you get. End up on top before the timer reaches zero!

LAST BOT STANDING

Only one Broombot can be crowned the victor! Destroy or outlast your opponents by any means necessary. The player who wins a set amount of matches will take the crown. Set levels to cycle between rounds for added craziness!

ODDBOT

Race your opponents to find a glorious golden crown hidden in the level. Whoever vacuums it up will earn a point for each second they can keep it in their dust balloon. If the balloon gets popped, the crown will be knocked loose and the chase will be back on! First to a set amount of points wins!

UPDATE 3: Sewer, Boiler Room, and ODDBOT!

What is UP clean-freaks!? It's been an effing crazy couple of months for the Cleanup Kings, and unfortunately that meant our social media presence going absolutely kaput. Rest assured, the team did NOT drop dead in a horrific indie development accident. In fact, we've been hard at work making some fantastic new additions to our darling, deranged little problem-child, Broombot Battlegrounds -- and today we are FINALLY ready to unveil them to you in this, our third free update for the game! Thank you to everyone who has wishlisted, purchased, played, reviewed, or even thought about our game in passing up to now! We hope to have even more to share with you all in the coming months. In the meantime, let's see what's new in UPDATE 3!! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43547441/284db9b7ae6e728541836112213ad55edafd2aa2.png NEW BATTLE MAP: SEWER Sewer is a Timed Battle and Last Bot Standing map set in a grimy underground canal. Periodically throughout the match the water level will rapidly rise, temporarily submerging part of the map. If you hear an alarm, head for high ground! Also, be sure to watch out for the creatures that call this level their home... they hate visitors. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43547441/59ef1b120b795725e56d572e8cceb208fe25cb90.png NEW BATTLE MAP: BOILER ROOM Boiler Room is a Clean of the Hill and Oddbot map centered around a basement water heater. Turn valves throughout the level to redirect steam, but each time you do the boiler will get a little more unstable. What happens if you turn all three? We've had this level on the back burner for a while now, and we're super excited to finally show it off! NEW GAMEMODE: ODDBOT A glorious golden crown is hidden somewhere in the level. Find it and vacuum it up! You'll earn a point every second as long as you keep the crown in your dust bag. If you get popped, the crown will be loose and the chase is back on! Note: This gamemode is playable on Clean of the Hill maps only! NEW ACHIEVEMENT ICONS We've completely overhauled our achie...

    v 1.0.2 -- Getting BUFF(ed)

How's it going Broombotters!? For those who don't know (because you don't follow our socials -- shame on you), the development team took a little weekend trip to Boston, MA for PAX East 2023 this past month and it was such a surreal, inspiring, all-around INCREDIBLE time! We met so many great players, content creators, and fellow devs, and by the end of the convention we had a loooot of feedback to sort through. By the time we made it back home in one piece (except for our Broombot friend who got taken apart by airport security, r.i.p.), we were already hard at work on some brand new features and improvements for the game -- which we will be sharing with you RIGHT NOW! Here is what's new in version 1.0.2 of Broombot Battlegrounds! NEW FEATURE: Single-Joystick Controls This was one of the most requested new features by far! We hope this new control option will help players who have been struggling with our default twin-stick movement. Players may now toggle between Twin-Stick and Single-Stick movement controls in the Customization Screen Each player can set their own movement controls independently No need for everyone to play the same way! NEW FEATURE: Automatic Docking Players can now toggle whether or not they need to press a button to begin depositing their dust in Gameplay Settings If automatic docking is enabled, depositing dust in Clean of the Hill mode will start as soon as the player enters the vicinity of their docking station with at least one dust collected NEW ACHIEVEMENTS! Ace in the Hole: Play a game of Pool in the Basement Putting on the Potty: Do some golfing in the Bathroom Map Improvements Classic Diner Utensil Cup now increments the score of the player that pushed it over if an opponent's balloon is popped by one of the hazards in the cup Utensils can be moved/launched by powerup effects. If this results in a kill, the player using the powerup will be credited to kill Adjusted scaling of booth seats Box Factory Gave destructible boxes a brand new ...

Keyboard Support Improvements Added key prompts to all menus and in-game that replace button prompts if keyboard input is detected Adjusted keyboard controls to be a little more user-friendly Game Balancing Improvements Reduced wall collision rebound force so that it's easier to navigate precarious platforming areas Increased jump height slightly to make platforming a bit easier Reduced respawn time by 1 second so that you can get back into the action faster Lowered default AI difficulty to Easy because dang those bots are evil Added invincibility frames after you deposit dust so that one annoying friend you have can't wait by your docking station and pop you immediately after you finish putting dust in Reduced the scale of the Knife's hitbox so that it isn't able to reach as far Reduced cooldown on environmental collisions, preventing some weird physics happenings Menu / UI Improvements Fixed significant performance issues caused by main menus.
