Embark on a turn-based adventure where strategy meets fire as you command your team to survive the inferno in Fernageddon, a thrilling RPG/strategy from MDH Software.
About this game
The end times are here - the Great Lord of Fire has decreed it! Let everything burn!
Fernageddon is a RPG/strategy game, with the focus on character development, finding loot, and tactical turn-based combat.
Oh, and burning things.
Begin as a humble aspiring champion to the Great Fire God. Slowly gain skills and favour, learn spells, find followers and legendary weapons.
Eventually, if you succeed, demonhood beckons... And having gone so far, it seems only fair to try and assume the great fiery throne, too...
FEATURES
A deep and detailed turn-based combat system with many factors determining success.
Explore the world in 3D - find lost dungeons, mighty cities and legendary locations.
Fight numerous enemies, from the mundane (militia and raiders), to the exotic (elves and dwarfs), to the monstrous (dragons and demons).
Gain experience with each fight and develop your skills. (about 200!)
52 different professions! (Initial choice of 4 which branch into others at level 5 and 10)
Gain glory with each conquest, and gain gifts from the Fire God.
Recruit a great army of followers - man, beast and even horrors from beyond...
Fail to please your fickle master and His ennui will rise - if this gets too high, He will give you "rewards" of His own choosing...
Burn them all and bring on The Fernageddon!
** New - Heretic mode - fight an open-ended battle against the evil minions of fire instead!

if you had a character that was not a spellcaster, but became one on changing career at level 5, he would have zero mana. Fixed!Fix for Ethereal and Vampiric - these only had an effect if gained by mutation, previously.Corrected icon for Bloodlust. Two new options added: No Screenshake, and No delay between actions. As default, these are both turned off.Read full article on Community Announcements (hudd)AnnouncementsOfficial
Sepulcrum!
I have another game coming out at the end of June... It features a roguelike style quest and turn based tactical battles - the latter, very similar to Fernageddon! Unlocks, crazy encounters, artefacts, levelling up, powerful magic items and designing your party - I feel sure you will love this if you liked my earlier games! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3601900/Sepulcrum/Read full article on Community Announcements (hudd)Patch NotesOfficial

v1.2 is now live!
Beasts and Followers can now get XP! Or most of them can, anyway. Each creature has its own XP penalty. Some examples - Goblins and Cockroaches still have a 100% penalty. Orcs have a 75% penalty. Raiders and dwarfs have a 50% penalty. All characters that could take a class (Dwarf King, Elf mage, etc) still have a 0% penalty. Each creature has its own career path (e.g orcs will be warriors) and beasts have a new career path with no specialisation allowing them to take some skills too. Bear in mind - XP is shared amongst all participants at the end of a combat. Previously followers would be ignored. I've made some adjustments to deal with this, but... Making the world map more interesting, graphically - I have: Added different coloured patches of grass. Made mountains variable in size. I dialled this one back a bit, as I wasn't impressed with some of the other things I did. I may well return to this one in future - let me know any ideas you have. Added Armoured Trolls and Minotaurs! You will occasionally see these fearsome beasts in some encounters, and you can pay a mystic to get your own upgraded with suitable armour, all for a very reasonable price. New (very high tier) weapons! You will occasionally see enemy heroes wandering around with them too. Or can buy/loot them at appropriate places. Araby (dagger and halberd) Dwarfs( axe and shield) Elves (spear and bow) You can now pay for healing at a few places... Journal added to show any outstanding quests... I couldn't recreate the bug re flying high and fleeing, but I re-wrote things to hopefully deal with this better. Let me know if this bug is still around.Read full article on Community Announcements (hudd)Patch NotesOfficial
v1.01.04 is now live
Re-wrote "Move to safe space" routine for (4 tile) monsters. Occasionally they got this wrong and ended up overlapping something else with erratic consequences. (Usually this is used when fire is added to a square) Fixed CtD that happened with over 100 floating damage texts on the screen. If a 4 tile monster fled off screen, it wasn't tidied up completely, meaning it could still take damage and still blocked off some of its squares. Fixed! If you got wiped out with some people in Injured Reserve (Or had a large monster that couldn't fight as you had gone underground) your party was marked as having survivors, which means the fallen got an injury roll, rather than suffering auto death. Back to auto-death now for everyone involved in the fight if they all fall in battle. You'll be able to carry on with anyone that stayed in reserve if you wish.Read full article on Community Announcements (hudd)
