About the Game

Servus! Mayor of Altwaldheim!
You've got your work cut out for you and let me tell you this is no easy task!

As the newly elected mayor, you will face a great responsibility. The town faces threats from neighboring kingdoms, and keeping its citizens safe and happy is only up to you!
Altwaldheim is a challenging, medieval-inspired rogue-like fantasy city builder.
Take on the role of an aspiring mayor. Initially, you must manage a small village.
As you strengthen economics, uncover natural resources, build settlements, and expand infrastructure, you will transform Altwaldheim into a great metropolis. Fail, and you will lose everything you worked so hard for!

Navigate the political landscape of your city council, where five influential factions will make life difficult. Make daily decisions, rule, and divide, but be careful to avoid upsetting your councillors, or else you may face a citizens' riot or poison in your chalice.
Will you form alliances or stand alone?
Prioritize economic growth or military might?
Negotiate for peace or take the fight to the enemy?

Defend your possessions against the onslaught of enemies, recruit soldiers, train archers, and enlist mercenaries of all sorts to defend the city walls and show your enemies no mercy in massive up to 5k characters auto managed battles!

The fate of Altwaldheim is in your hands. Will you lead your town to greatness? Or will it fall to the enemy's might? The choice is yours in this epic strategy game!

    Demo Update

Hello friends. We are alive and still working on Altwaldheim 2. The demo is out, but there are some things we want to improve. Today, we have a small update for you, fixing several issues: Fixed a crash when having large armies Fixed missing sprites for some units (they appeared as white squares during battles) Fixed some missing texts in both the German and English versions Fixed some typos. Changed the trading system. There is no longer a limited amount of transactions. The system was too janky. When you upgrade your marketplace, the ordering time will reduce from 4 weeks to 3 weeks Known issues: Trolls love changing their skin. Not intended though. The game is not intended for battles with more than 10k units. It will look weird and ugly if you manage to recruit that many soldiers. The sound and music options are not saved between games, Plans for future updates: Implement the embassy and temple. They have no functions at the moment Balancing Add more enemy waves for longer gameplay Add more sounds in the battles, e.g. units dying Add more events Add options to increase battle speed That's it for today. Feel free to contact us any times in the steam forum or in discord: https://discord.gg/g4R8D6e Have a nice day! Ludlus
