Roadmap 2024-2025: Exciting New Features Coming Soon
Hey pilots! I know it has been a while since the last update. Life has been quite busy with various changes and other projects, leaving me with little free time to work on Void Blitzing as much as I’d like. However, now that things have settled down, I’m excited to announce that I’m back to working on the game in my spare time. So far, most of the work has been focused on finding and fixing bugs. Gradually, I’ll be adding some improvements and new features that were pending in a series of updates. What to Expect: First Update will fix a bug related to projectile collisions with certain obstacles. Additionally, weapon sounds will now change pitch gradually, becoming higher as the recoil deviation or maximum temperature increases. This will make it easier to anticipate and control weapon use in chaotic situations. Gamepad support:This is a high priority feature, however given that movement is a key part of the game's challenge, I’m working on finding the best way to adapt the controls to the limitations of a gamepad to provide the best possible experience. Intro Cinematic, although not a critical element, I am working on a somewhat minimalistic cinematic, I believe it will help provide some context to the story unfolding in the game. Steam Achievements:Finally, for those who enjoy getting the most out of their games by completing them 100%, the Steam achievements system will be implemented. Potential New Features: Additionally, I’m exploring the possibility of adding Linux support and customizable controls. While I can’t promise anything at this stage, I hope to implement these features in the future. Stay tuned for more updates and keep exploring the universe of Void Blitzing! See you in space!Read full article on Community Announcements (Felix Pretorg)Patch NotesOfficial
Update 1.1.0.3
Features: In levels without hazardous events, the gate will automatically alert the enemies if their number is too low and the player is close enough. A screen has been added to the gate to show the number of enemies at which the alarm will be set. The shield now activates automatically at the beginning of each level unless the previous level was cleared with the gate damaged. There is now a map legend to clarify the meaning of each type of point on the map. The gatling turret on the first level now only appears by probability and if it does, it is in place of some other enemy to make the start of the game easier. Now during door hacking, when failing for the 2nd time, the ship is automatically ejected to facilitate escape unless the hacking progress was equal to or greater than half. The laser assault ship now only alerts nearby enemies when its life is less than half. General difficulty balancing. Bugs: Previously, when failing for the third time in hacking, you had to move away from the area for the screen to close, now it will do it automatically after a short delay. When using the gate to go to the next level if the ship got hit while the shield was, the use key wouldn't register as pressed, forcing players to press the key again when the shield impact animation was over.Read full article on Community Announcements (Felix Pretorg)Patch NotesOfficial

Update 1.1 Branching Map
Changes/Features: Branching system has been fully implemented, after each level you will see a map with multiple paths to choose from, so you can decide what challenges or rewards you want to encounter or avoid on your way to the next level. Rewards system, destroying enemy ships now has a direct impact on your economy! on the bottom right corner of the screen you will see a new bar that represents the ammount of points you are getting for each enemy you destroy, when it is full you'll get 1 credit. Extra ammo can now be purchased on the upgrade level. Event generation and mining base spawning has been completely reworked to make use of the map. Blackholes no longer destroy the ship (if it has enough hp), instead it will be teleported to a different "universe" appearing on a random level and with a new map.Read full article on Community Announcements (Felix Pretorg)
