This demo features a playable section from the beginning of STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R until completion of Krosse Cave. Experience the field areas depicted in the new graphical style, the new systems incorporated into the combat, and more besides.
(The content of the demo has been taken from the full game, but with some adjustments made. Some full-game features are restricted.)
(In the demo, each save file has a time limit of three hours.)

All event scenes are now fully voiced using the same voice cast from the original game. In addition, the dialogue from STAR OCEAN SECOND EVOLUTION (2008) is also included and can be selected.
- An iconic soundtrack rearranged by Motoi Sakuraba
All tracks have been re-composed, including full-band performance and strings sound. Exploration and movie scenes themes also have new recordings that take them to even greater heights.
