About this game

Qiybz is a game where you control an automatically jumping cube with other randomized cubes being as platforms and / or enemies. The main goal is to achieve the largest true highscore possible, but beware! The higher the score, the higher the difficulty.

The spawned cubes are randomized and there are over 20 different cube types that can be spawned, provided certain in-game conditions are met. With randomization also comes the so-called probability hierarchy, with some cubes being so rare that you might not see one even after ten thousand cubes. Familiarizing yourself with the cube types also gains an advantage over randomly jumping on cubes. The gaps between the cubes ensure that precision in landing on to the platforms is crucial. Enemy elimination is also important, as you will see if you try this game...

Note that spontaneous change of character skin is not possible, and you must change the skin manually if you want it to change. The same goes for backgrounds. Based on player feedback this can be subject to change, and spontaneous change especially for backgrounds might become a feature in the future. Soundtracks can change based on in-game conditions, but not all soundtracks are available this way, and some must be activated manually if one wants to listen to them.

Some important, additional information: The enemies start to spawn after a score of 5, where enemy cubes (the cubes with an 'L' character in them) must be destroyed by jumping on them a number of times in order to get lives. Lives act as a shield against enemy projectiles (for example, the blood cubes), and are also needed to transform score into currency (2 lives per exchange) by jumping on the gray cubes with a peculiar symbol in them. The currency can then be used in the shop to alter the game in some ways. A boss cube can be summoned when the player reaches a score of 10k, and bosses start to automatically spawn after a score of 20k (the higher the score, the harder the bosses that can spawn).

    Qiybz patch 1.1

Hello! If you have been a fan of Qiybz for a long time, thank you for your patience! We have made a couple of major changes to the game and also minor ones. The play button gives now two versions to play; the upper one is version 1.0 and the lower one is version 1.1. If you have played the game before, then the save should be found in the version 1.0. If you want to play the version 1.1, head to 'properties' of the game Qiybz, go to the section 'betas' , and change the option from empty / nothing to Qiybz 1.1. After this, click the button 'check code' without typing in any password, and the updated version should download. If you want to be extra sure that the game launches, check the file integrity of the game. Here is the list of changes for the patch 1.1: - The pesky score border of 500 in order to enemy to spawn has been lowered to 5 - A new ability called height reset, use space to activate it. To prevent it from being too powerful, it has a cooldown. - You can now cancel any skill during its effect by tapping the W button again, and gain a small time compensation in return - The difficulty level of bosses has been increased, for example, an instant death cube has been introduced in boss 6, although the effect can be avoided with invulnerability effects - The time meters now get behind the pause menu - Added sound effects to three existing cubes - Modified some life giving cubes such that they give more lives the higher the score - Improved mechanics and synergies for some cubes Please let us know if you have some ideas or feedback regarding this game! Are for example the final bosses too tough? Or too easy? Is the game too casual? Or should there be more complicated systems? Have a great day!

Qiybz becomes free as of April

Hey. The game Qiybz has not gained much traction. As I would like to see the playerbase grow but I don't have the resources to efficiently market my game, I am deciding to make this game free as of some date in April. Unfortunately I can not issue any refunds, but if the game succeeds at gaining noticeable traction, I might make more content in the future. Note that possible future dlc content may not be free, and may be intended for the more eager fans of the game. Aside from the possible paid content, there may also be free updates. All in all, the possible future content relies solely on how well the free base game gains traction, as I see no point in developing further a game that has no interest in the first place.
