Battlemon is no longer being updated
Battlemon is no longer being worked on. The update that was made at the start of this year/december is the final update for the game. The game isn't being worked on anymore, mostly because my life is just in a place where I don't have time to create games as much as I used to, especially since Battlemon is (mostly) a one man team, I do all the art, coding, animation, everything except music. In addition to this, Battlemon just has so many issues right now, the combat isn't how I want it to be, its unique, but not in a good way, in a way that restricts the player, not even I find it enjoyable. The bugs are all over the place, it's very difficult to work on a game that has so many issues. It's not as easy as "fix the bugs!", not with my schedule. To be updated on the status of the game if anything were to happen, you should join the new discord server, where I'll regularly post updates if anything happens. The game has honestly just become boring to work on. Nobody wants to sit and fix bugs all day, or work on a game that they don't enjoy. The game's just become a chore to work on, which is why I am no longer updating it. The current state of the game is the state that it will always be in. Maybe I have another project in the works? Who knows, but this one is over. I'm happy for all the people who have helped me get here, though, especially those who have played the game, you mean the most to me. I could do things better the second time around, and that's exactly what I'm doing! I am currently in the process of making a sequel of Battlemon, with new characters, improved combat, better stages, graphics, gameplay, a story mode, everything that Battlemon One couldn't do. Think of this game as Battlemon One, but double, making it Battlemon Two! This game aims to not only fix the issues that Battlemon had, but expand on the positives that the game did have. More info relating to the game will be revealed later, when more content has been created, it's only starting out, no...Read full article on Community Announcements (Dreemore)Patch NotesOfficial

Battlemon Version 2 Update!
Finally released Battlemon Version 2, the long awaited update. Here are all of the features in the new update, featuring a changelog at the bottom of this post.Abilities One of the new features that are coming to the game would be abilities. This mechanic would give each character a passive ability in combat, which can range from giving them an immunity to a particular status effect, to boosting the power of their attacks when their HP is a low. It's a small addition - sure, but adds an extra element of strategy to the game. For example, Butter God's ability, Liquid Ooze, makes them take less damage from melee attacks. Another example would be Dunse's ability, synchronise, which changes the opponents status effect to match Dunse's. Most characters have unique abilities, however, some characters may share abilities in the future if characters are closely related, or the ability suits multiple characters. Bosses in the game also have abilities, such as the currently available dungeon bosses, as well as raid bosses. Regular dungeons enemies (not bosses) do not have abilities.Current List Of abilities in game and their effects:Synchronise - Status effects are reflected between the user and the target.Reckless - The user deals 1.5x damage when landing critical hits, rather than 1.2x, but the user takes 1 damage whenever they successfully land a critical hit.Liquid Ooze - Melee attacks deal 0.25x damage to the user due to their liquid body, instead of 1xBlaze - Boosts fire attacks by 20% when HP is under 33%Torrent - Boosts water attacks by 20% when HP is under 33%Shell Armor - Cannot be struck by a critical hit.Limber - Immune to slowBad Dreams - Leeches a foes HP when theyre sleepingCursed Body - Inflicts the curse status effect on the opponent when the user is struck by a physical move.Delta Stream (unob) - Strong winds keep the opponent grounded. Gravity is increased for the opponent. Opponent's ULT is disabled during the stream.Trace - Copies the foe's abilityToxic B...Read full article on Community Announcements (Dreemore)Patch NotesOfficial
Battlemon Update Coming Really Really Soon
The next battlemon update, coming this month, will feature many changes, with the highlights listed below. Not all changes are listed (Some should be a surprise!) There are many more features than these.Abilities One of the new features that are coming to the game would be abilities. Regular dungeons enemies (not bosses) do not have abilities.New Raid Boss: Bald EagleDescending from Sky Pillar, Bald Eagle appears!A new raid boss, Bald Eagle, has been added to the game. He attacks players using his wings in his resolute form, as well as his arrows, using his wings as a bow. He is one of the most powerful raids in the game, posing as a challenge for experienced players.Character Rework: SplitAs OneSplit has been given a complete rework in Battlemon, giving him a better representation of his character through his moveset. Split attacks using water based attacks. However, he can switch between fire, his other side, which allows him to use fire attacks. Both forms of Split, Fire and Water, can use their domains when they have 100% ULT. Split's store price has not changed.New Character: GarlicDoes NothingGarlic is the toughest character in Battlemon, striking fear into his opponents hearts whenever t...Read full article on Community Announcements (Dreemore)AnnouncementsOfficial
Lack of Battlemon Updates (And Why!)
Battlemon has not received any updates recently. This is due to most of the progress for the upcoming version of Battlemon being placed onto a flash drive, rather than the actual PC that I was working on the game on. In addition to this, this flash drive did not contain any backups of the game, nor did my PC. What happened to Battlemon V2? It’s been a while since Battlemon last received an update, and I want to explain why things have been quiet. The short version is that most of the work for the next version of Battlemon was stored on a flash drive, instead of my PC. Unfortunately, that drive didn’t have any backups, and neither did my computer. When the flash drive was damaged beyond repair, the progress on Battlemon V2—including sprite work, audio, and other important files—was lost. The drive itself could not be salvaged while keeping the files intact. This meant I had no choice but to revert to an older version of the game (the one currently available on Steam), and start rebuilding V2 from scratch.Because of this, some of the original features planned for V2 won’t make it in this time around, simply due to how much time it would take to redo them. So, what about the next update? The rebuilt version of Battlemon V2 is planned to release in September. Here’s what to expect:A brand new character - A completely fresh fighter (more of a robot, really) with their own unique move set, and mechanics, raising the standards for what a fighter should be. This has been one of the most time-intensive parts of the update.A full rework for an older character - Bringing one of the original roster members up to modern Battlemon standards with new sprites, updated abilities, and a smoother playstyle. Won't say who!A new raid - A challenging boss fight designed to push players’ strategies to the limit. This raid introduces mechanics that haven’t been seen before in Battlemon.UI improvements - Cleaner menus, more responsive feedback, and overall a more polished presentation. Game l...Read full article on Community Announcements (Dreemore)
