Roadmap
About the Game
Unleash your inner ass-kicking menace in this unique “First-Person Booter”. Step into the boot of Glum, the crude, short-tempered goblin, and kick, cuss and fight your way through a vibrant and physics-based world that - unlike your average Sunday morning cartoon - is not suited for sticky children.
GLUM is a game where one man’s tragedy is another man’s comedy.
Kick-ass Physics Combat
Our physics-based combat system ensures that every enemy you take down reacts dynamically, meaning glorious, over-the-top ragdoll chaos. Smash, launch, and obliterate foes in ways that are as satisfying as they are hilarious.
Menace Style System and ARENA MODE
Earn style points for creative kills! Whether you’re flinging explosive barrels and magical potions at your enemies, or getting up close and personal, the menace actions and points amplifies flair for destruction and creative sadism! Hone your skills in the wave-based combat Arena Mode!
Wacky Exploration & Collectables
GLUM’s crude humor is scattered around the environments of the game, making those hidden spots and cheeky collectables worth every moment of exploring.
All you need to know is that there has been a coup and Glum’s overlord, Semperius, has been mysteriously captured by rivaling overlords. Although Glum has lived his sorry excuse of a life being the underling of one particularly mean Overlord, the Overlord’s kidnapping forces Glum to dust off an old magical boot and unleash his main character energy in his search for vengeance (and the return of a stable income).

A message from the team
Hi everyone. This is one of the hardest messages we’ve had to write. Over the past few months - and especially during the Early Access launch - we’ve shared our excitement about building GLUM into a full, expansive experience, and encouraged you to support us through Early Access. Many of you did just that, offering not just your money, but your time, feedback, and belief in the game’s future. We’re incredibly grateful for this. Unfortunately, we’ve made the difficult decision to freeze active development on GLUM, effective immediately. This is not the outcome we hoped for, nor the one we promised. Despite our best efforts, GLUM didn’t reach the level of sales we needed to sustain continued development. As a small studio, that means we simply don’t have the resources to finish the roadmap as planned. Honestly, we do not know if GLUM will ever get the updates, we think it deserves, as we have shifted all our resources to another project to have a better chance of ensuring the future of CinderCat Games. We know this is a serious breach of trust, and for that, we are deeply sorry. You supported GLUM early and enthusiastically, and it hurts us to not be able to follow through. We know this may not be enough. There’s no way to sugarcoat the situation, but we hope our honesty and transparency matter, at least a little. We’re grateful to everyone who took a chance on GLUM. Thank you for being part of its journey, even if it was shorter than we all hoped. However, this does not mean the end for us as a studio. We love this community and therefore we want to involve you - as soon possible - in the new stuff we are working on (which is also packed with humor and charm). We will try our best to continue with transparency and joyful conversations, that so far have enjoyed immensely from you guys. Much love, Sebastian, CEO of CinderCat GamesRead full article on Community Announcements (Sebb)AnnouncementsOfficial

Hotfix - 0.0.1
Known issue: The game may play the incorrect music in the Arena Mode / Story Mode. Temporary fix for this would be to respawn in the pause menu and then the music should play correctly. Hotfixes: Added measures to hopefully circumvent issues of mouse detection and accidentally clicking through or outside the screen of the game when in windowed or windowed-borderless mode. We *may* have fixed this, but the game now starts in Fullscreen by default which *seems* to be a way to solve the issue for now (meaning Borderless and Windowed could still cause issues) Added Arena Mode button to Victory Screen. Fixed an issue in Hub that caused Cassiopeia to sometimes play two dialogues on top of each other. Added an animation on Glum’s hands, which indicate that the Lob-Kick button has been pressed (KeyboardMouse: Q/ALT, Controller: Left Bumper).Read full article on Community Announcements (Sebb)AnnouncementsOfficial
