  Hi again!Today, I've unlocked the alphav2 branch.You can now play the work-in-progress version of PWP that will probably never release.It is not equivalent of the planned PWP2, but it is a small peak into features that might make it to the sequel.I thought it was fun to share at least, so there you have it.Some of the changes:Changes the gameplay mechanics of the default-branch.New boss fights (one per floor) - and previously not used tracks from swedishwargoat (got so much stuff from him! Thanks friend!).Consistent resolution through the entire game.New weaponsNew zombiesGet that achievement!If you cannot start the alphav2 version, have a look in the installation folder:Rename bothsettings.jsonstate.txt(so that you can rename them back when using default branch), to something else.I won't be actively supporting this branch as it is not my current focus.Expect bugs and stuff not working properly.Switch Beta Participation to alphav2 to try it out.Merry christmas!

  THE FUTURE OF PENGUIN WITH A PUMPGUN

  Hi everyone.Thanks so much for playing my little game, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.I am sorry for having been silent for so long, but with a life as a software developer during daytime, it can sometimes take some strength to get going.Penguin with a Pumpgun is not dead, but there are some changes to what I have been informing and I want to elaborate on those.The updated Penguin with a Pumpgun, that I have been working on is currently postponed a bit.The same game, won't appear in this game's repository (Penguin with a Pumpgun/pwp2023), since I realized that I risk ending up killing the old game if I replace it here. I am hugely for game preservation and if I put it visibly away I am afraid it will die. For that reason the next release of Penguin with a Pumpgun will be a separate release and it's current state is probably not the final state.Not releasing it for free is a change, but I will do what I can to make up for it some way.This means that the Steam version of Penguin with a Pumpgun is in it's finished state. Patches can come (I'll take all the feedback I can get), but the game won't change enormously from here.What WILL happen to the current game on Steam:Engine update from a very penguin-with-a-pumpgun-2023-tied engine to PEngine 2025, which I am working heavily on at the moment.PEngine2025: will bring optimizations, so even though it's not a terribly hard game to run it should run better on lower hardware than estimated as minimum already.PEngine2025: Improved input management with support for all major gaming platform controllers (PS3, PS4, PS5, XBox360, XBoxOne, Nintendo Joycon-pairs, Switch Pro controller and SteamDeck).PEngine2025: Big change in asset management for better memory handling.PEngine2025: Multi-camera support...   PWPDX BETA BRANCH

  Penguin with a Pumpgun DX, which was announced some time ago is now playable in it's current state on the BETA branch. I've decided to unlock it so that players that might want to have a look at what's incoming can do so. Keep in mind that this is a work-in-progress branch, that means: !!! Expect errors and in worst case a non-beatable game. !!! To play the beta-branch, go to properties of Penguin With A Pumpgun, then BETAS and pick beta. Currently known bugs (that are on the fix list): Music breaks at different events. Force Field Melee powerup is a bit broken position-wise. Mystical hidden monster sometimes hits collision grenades, causing unexpected explosion. Missing Timed Powerups. Not all boss rooms have money divided onto monsters. I'll create a discussion where you are more than welcome to bring in thoughts and/or feedback. I am listening. Thanks for playing, I hope you like where the game is going. Best, Lasse

  Penguin with a Pumpgun DX

  Thank you so much for playing. I've been playing Penguin with a Pumpgun a lot. Maybe so much that I overlooked some critical stuff during the testing of the game. I have decided to update Penguin with a Pumpgun with an incoming patch. ETA: Still to be determined. The new version will include, among other stuff, * Shop where you can buy stuff * 5 new weapons * New powerup system - power ups will now be activated at different times on a level instead of permanent power ups that you got from the seal. * Better, updated, tutorial. I am still working on this update and figuring out when it's done. When the new version is released, I will put the old v.1.5. on a branch that you can access in case you're in love with the old game. Last, would you be interested in joining in playing (and maybe testing), the new version before it's released? Let me know in the comments. I am listening for everything.

  PWAP Update 1.5

  Lots of optimization around the game. Fixed crash in settings on Steam Deck. Fixed bug where player could not throw grenades after the tutorial. Controller schemes are now available in-game for Switch Pro, XBox and PS controllers. XBox will be default controller scheme. Happy hunting!
