About this game
Yomaia: The Definitive Survival Experience

Yomaia is a MMO Survival Horror game developed by BEWARE LLC where players can immerse themselves in the wild and challenging world of Zone C, a huge and constantly changing island with its own mind that will make everyday a real challenge. As a player, you'll have the option to choose between prowling the island like a carnivore or herbivore dinosaur or moving through the dangerous forests like a human.
Living, eating, raising, forming your own group or surviving the weather that hit the map will be the least of your worries in a world where dark mysteries hide in every corner and more terrifying things than a dinosaur move unseen in the depths of the island.
Whether you like to admire the beautiful landscapes, demonstrate your survival skills, hunt other players or feel the terrible anguish of the enclosed spaces in the BioGenesis Corporation Labs, this game will undoubtedly be your best experience in the survival horror genre. Explore the vast and dense forests or the open grasslands plains, crawl treacherous mountains and swim through dirty swamps where other players lurk for you. And for those brave souls that like to face the danger, access to the hidden labs that hold experiments that even dinosaurs are afraid of.
Enjoy the incredible potential of Unreal Engine 5 in the premise of pitting man against dinosaurs in a new and reinvented way that will bring an unparalleled immersion to the player. A game that brings together the best of both worlds: survival and horror, man and beast, and with new and revolutionary game mechanics that will bring a renewal to the survival & sandbox genre and gameplay.
A Primal MMO Experience

Unleash your primal instinct. When coming to Yomaia, you will be able to play as more than 60 unique creatures, from little and cute herbivores like Dryosaurus, royal tyrants such as Spinosaurus or Tyrannosaurus, flying beasts as Pteranodon or sea nightmares like the Mosasaurus. As a dinosaur, you'll be the epitome of the food chain. Use your natural abilities and senses to stay off the menu and grow into a stronger and more capable creature. But don't be cocky, because humans would be around with their own methods capable of standing still against many of the animals that roam the island.
Engage with a living and ancient ecosystem as you become either predator or prey on a online interaction between more than 300 players per server, all of them hungry and dangerous as you. Form packs and herds, defend your offspring, hunt and claim territory, or craft your own weapons and vehicles to survive as a human in a land full of dark secrets more dangerous than any dinosaur. Form your own team and investigate the bowels of the island and discover the terrible truth!
Survival-Horror Revolution

Yomaia's core is based on a Survival-Horror style heavily influenced by the old games like Dino Crisis and the extensive action and survival gameplay from games like Evolve. As a survival you will experience a tense and difficult gameplay where you need to grow or die young. The Dinosaurs will need to progress through several life stages, from small and vulnerable beings to the titans that they were supposed to be. Using your special abilities and the awareness of the weather changes will be imperative for you to survive on Yomaia, unlocking (and evolving) on the process new abilities that will give you an unique gameplay each time. As a human the mechanic will be similar, with a more rpg component (depending on what kind of human you choose) where you will need to craft your own items to survive and even access to some unique places.

As for the game modes within Yomaia, you can enjoy the classic Survival Mode if what you like is to experience a semi-realistic experience in a paleo environment, growing your dinosaur and developing its abilities until it reaches maturity and conquers the island. However, we also have other modalities that will allow the player to enjoy the running riot in a legendary Free For All (FFA) or the old Sandbox concept, experiencing every possible dinosaur and/or human in its different phases and stages.
All this options (and more that will come in the future, like "Capture the Egg") will make from our game the definitive dinosaur game where everyone can enjoy and roam around the map as they desire.
Riddles on the Darkness

As a key factor of Yomaia narrative, a huge part of the history is all spreaded around the world map and the environment, encouraging the cooperation among players to unveil the truth about the island and BioGenesis Corporation secrets. Altogether with that, the community will also have the chance to discover new pieces of history and what happened on the island through Yomaia's Official Media Sources and a lot more!
What are those "beeping" sounds that fill the air? What you can read from the old computers in the labs? What does "CODE BRUTICUS IMPERATOR" mean? All that and more awaits to you on Yomaia.

MoonLight - CommunityManager Hello there Maians! Today, we finally have a few updates about the state of Yomaia that we think it might interest you. As a starting point, we want to share a sincere and detailed update regarding the development of Yomaia, an incredibly challenging project that continues to move forward with unwavering determination. Over the past few months, we’ve experienced a rollercoaster of emotions, obstacles, and lessons learned. We want to be fully transparent with you about what has happened and the decisions we’ve made along the way. Challenges and Setbacks: The development of Yomaia has been a unique experience, but also extremely difficult. During this time, we faced moments of frustration due to internal issues with some of our developers. These team members failed to meet their responsibilities, missed deadlines, and, most concerningly, diverted resources from the project. This situation forced us to take legal action, which has delayed our progress more than we initially anticipated. However, we are pleased to inform you that we won the legal disputes, which has allowed us to move forward with the project, although at a slower pace than we would have liked. This period of difficulties also required us to replace the employees who were dismissed due to their poor practices. The search for new talent has taken longer than expected, as we are determined not to repeat the same mistakes. To this day, we are still in that process, which continues to affect the development speed, but we are committed to doing things right. A Shift in Project Direction: After much reflection from the team, we have concluded that, due to limitations in resources and personnel, we cannot continue developing the game as an MMO at this time. Yomaia was originally planned as a massive multiplayer online (MMO) game, but we have decided to take a different approach, at least temporarily. To ensure a solid and high-quality product, we have decided to shift the direction...Read full article on Community Announcements (Samuel G.C.)AnnouncementsOfficial

Time Lord - Full Stack Developer Greetings and welcome to another Yomaia Dev Blog our dear Maians. Here, I'll provide insights into the ongoing development progress of the game over the last months. I am sure you all will find in this new blog entry an awesome experience! LOCOMOTION Over the past months, I've dedicated my efforts to refining the locomotion mechanics for four iconic dinosaurs: T-Rex, Utah, Dilo, and Para. While Rex, Utah, and Dilo presented relatively smooth progress, Para introduced some unique challenges. Para boasts the ability to transition between bipedal and quadrupedal locomotion with the simple press of a button, introducing intriguing variables such as speed, turn speed, and run speed. Triceratops is also being worked on. We're also implementing multiple movement mechanics including walk, trot, run, and sprint, each governed by a stamina bar that replenishes over time. Additionally, we're incorporating features like jumping, swimming, and even flying for select creatures. Progress is steadily propelling us towards completion. TEST MAP A single, compact map will serve as a comprehensive testing ground for each creature, featuring various testing elements such as healing and damaging plates, a waterfall to assess footstep effects, slopes to evaluate climbing mechanics, and more. The map will encompass diverse terrains including grasslands, forests, oceanic regions, and pools for aquatic testing. UI Development is underway for the in-game UI/HUD, which will include a dynamic blood screen to visually represent health status – intensifying as health decreases and diminishing as it rises. Additional attribute indicators will dynamically display various statistics, with a unique heartbeat monitor serving as an innovative health gauge. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43573855/444c9d486add2c6e69d70634a1c1bc4e48f27f53.png CHARACTER MECHANICS We've revamped the health mechanic and are currently refining the feeding system to replenish health, incorporating mechanic...Read full article on Community Announcements (sam)AnnouncementsOfficial

Alicia - 3D Modeler and Lead Animator Hello everyone, this month has been quite a roller coaster for many of us, filled with a lot of effort and determination to deliver an unparalleled product. Central pulled one of its usual surprises this month, causing me to shift my focus from completing the juvenile and sub-adult models of our already finished models to concentrating on creating and finalizing all the models for our main roster. As a result, I am now entirely dedicated to crafting the remaining dinosaurs in their adult versions. After that, I plan to enhance our existing models that were already completed, such as the Tyrannosaurus or Triceratops, making them more accurate and of higher quality, as you can see below. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43573855/6de2dfa968fb9f51287aaf7809fe7ce1c97a4c04.png {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43573855/84458824762ec3a184c09c348a260bc3c618bfcd.png In a short while, we will have all 20 main roster dinosaurs for the Early Access fully completed and ready for animation, awaiting inclusion in the Technical Demo to showcase what we are capable of. Time Lord - Full Stack Developer In August I completed a significant portion of the current in-game map (Zone C) in accordance with the Project Leader's requirements. The Project Leader is the one who specifies every detail of how each area of the map should look, as he has a very clear vision of how things should appear and how to convey the desired atmosphere to players exploring the area. The entire coastline and a substantial part of the interior of the map have been finished, pending the addition of laboratories, buildings, and some significant natural landmarks. I also focused on the swampy area and the main rivers of the map, getting ready to start modeling the cave system, underground rivers, and the untouched northeastern area. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/43573855/dfb5c2a9ba044c5103020612c9644d174bfe8e35.png Additionally, I worked on AI implementation, Night Vision, HP system implementation, a Blood Screen fo...Read full article on Community Announcements (sam)AnnouncementsOfficial

Central Covenant - Project Leader Hello everyone! Welcome to the first Yomaia Dev Blog, where you can delve deeper into our game. As many of you already know, I'm Central Covenant, and in this inaugural Dev Blog, I, as the boss, game owner, and Project Leader, reserve the right to use it as an "introduction letter" to explain and present what Yomaia is all about. I aim to provide clarity to our followers on our development progress, our intended approach, and what you can expect from the different phases of our game. As you are aware, Yomaia is a Survival Horror MMO, a massively multiplayer game that immerses players in an intense survival experience, allowing them to embody both carnivorous and herbivorous beasts and beings, as well as humans. It showcases the immense potential of each species and presents a challenge to determine the ultimate champion. In the Survival aspect, whether playing as dinosaurs or humans, the game revolves around the struggle to survive on an expansive map (island), where conditions, including weather and gameplay mechanics are perpetually against the player. Survival is at the core of the game, encompassing tasks such as feeding, drinking, managing stamina, adapting to diverse temperatures based on different map sections, and even delving into the intricacies of reproduction and forming groups. These elements collectively contribute to the Survival Horror experience that defines Yomaia. Throughout the game, players will encounter various challenges, such as navigating the darkness of night, where instincts and unique abilities as a dinosaur or human will be essential for survival. Additionally, the map features specific areas like laboratories that can be accessed by dinosaurs of suitable size. However, it is important to note that there are far more dangerous entities than mere dinosaurs lurking within these locations. Even if you are the largest creature around, there will always be a more formidable threat hidden in the depths of the...Read full article on Community Announcements (sam)
